Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The essence of reading whitepaper
« on: October 25, 2018, 05:07:51 PM »
Whitepapers give investors and bounty participants clue on the authenticity of a project and how well the project can attract investors to itself. This is where the idea, the product, the goal and the roadmap of the project can be found. Always look out for typos and incoherence in information in the whitepaper because scam projects are always prepared in a haste.

So in a way it's like a business proposal for a bank.  I read a couple, and it seems it doesn't describe how they will actually get market share.  Anyone can create an excellent product, but it doesn't mean much.  Anyone can create a youtube clone, but it doesn't mean that it will make millions like the original.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What is going to happen to the banks?
« on: October 25, 2018, 05:04:49 PM »
A lot of crypto users anticipate the collapse of Banks some few years to come because crypto is gradually gaining roots as the people become more familiar with its concepts and significance. The banks have got the complete backing of the governments, hence its complete collapse is far reaching. The banks will rather coexist with crypto and integrate cryptocurrency into its services in order to keep the interest of the people as Blockchain grows in significance.

Barely anyone is actually using crypto currencies to pay for stuff, aside from gambling.  Everyone else just wants their investment to grow so they can get more cash.  And when they get that cash, they will put it in a bank.  Also here, a bank is the only way to get a loan and mortgage, and most people don't save much anyways.  I don't think banks are threatened by crypto, since it's only a store of value similar to gold or silver.

I now prefer to hold Altcoin because the price is affordable and the transaction time is very cheap and fast. Bitcoin and Altcoin each have their own advantages.

This is a right statement because price is also related to btc performance.

Yes from all the posts, I get the idea that even if I don't invest in bitcoin, I shouldn't completely ignore it.  As it is a good indicator for other currencies as well.

Litecoin Forum / Re: Do you prefer litecoin or dogecoin?
« on: October 23, 2018, 07:38:14 PM »
I like both of them indeed in terms of potential litecoin is superior to dogecoin, litecoin has a good prosfek but I am a trader who cannot choose only on one coin I think dogecoin is very profitable when yesterday's price touched 100 sat I was very fortunate because I bought it at the price 40 sat dogecoin, if I choose on one of the coins I can't because I'm a trader who has to profit from not one coin, to litecoin a long-term investment I think it's very profitable I also keep it and wait for the end of the year hopefully to increase significantly.

Awesome, thanks for sharing.  I too prefer to hold both of them, when dogecoin jumps, it jumps good.  There was a 4x jump not too long ago, but I see it has dropped since than, along with other currencies.

can u change your other coins into usd without converting from bitcoin?

Yes I have two local KYC exchanges, and they accept quite a few popular alt coins, and have fiat pairs for them, but both don't have doge, so to cash out doge I convert to litecoin first, and than I can exchange litecoin to dollars.  Also I noticed some trusted paypal dealers also accept a wide variety of popular alt coins.

Can you share the experience of that and how you do that? Because I think it's not available in many exchanges and the exchange still needs bitcoin, and then people can convert into fiat. And if this can work, then I think it will be good that we can directly convert the altcoin to fiat without using bitcoin.

One that I used a lot in the past is quadrigacx.com  But it is a local exchange, and they do require kyc (know your customer)  My experience with them is good, but before they didn't require kys to sell, only to buy, but now things have changed and they require kyc to sell as well.  They have usd and cad dollars, and non bitcoin pairs for alts (but not dogecoin)  I don't think I would recommend it, because there could be a better local kyc exchange in your area.

That's exactly why Buterin and his team need to think about the scalability of the ethereum network, it will be able to solve a lot of issues with this coin, in addition to this, the next hardfork is planned to reduce the coin inflation by protecting itself from so many ICOs!

Interesting, so this is an Ether hardfork?  Very interesting will have to look into it more.  I like the protecting itself part.

you don’t need to give up bitcoin, every investor should have this coin, because this is the main coin to which the entire market is tied, you can store bitcoin and work with other altcoins  8)

I was thinking about that, but my whole capital is only a few hundred bucks, and I like to send them a lot.  And some at coins respond well to news and can grow doube over night.

which makes me believe the new altcoin is.
1. managed by good managers and always keeping their campaign promises.
2. sales are visible and running during the campaign period.
3. The manager is always active. and fought hard both during the campaign period and after becoming an altcoin. so that many crypto markets accept it so that the coin price is still maintained and there is an increase ..

Very nice list.  I know i tried doing some research but it was very hard to get information aside from the main site, especially for stand alone coins.  I think there is always a risk with new coins, it's kind of like penny stock on the normal market.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: dogecoin mining possible?
« on: October 21, 2018, 09:28:43 PM »
Hi guys,

I am new to Dogecoin,
I would like to know is that possible to mine DOGE alone???
I have searched online before,  seems DOGE can mine with LTC only.

If I just want to mine DOGE, is that possible?
Can I join some pool to mine as ZEC...?

Thanks!

Best Regards,
Joe :)   :P

I think you can, they are mine able.  Might cost some money to start an operation that is profitable.  From the article I read, it doesn't appear like mining them is profitable, but can be with expensive equipment.

Me too, Bitcoin fees was so high so that I prefer to invest and trade with altcoins especially ripple and monero. They arr good coins that always give me profit when trading, I dont see bitcoin as a profitable coin for now

Surely when bitcoin returns to highs again, I think alt coins will go up more than 2x, they appear to rise and fall more than the bitcoin.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Dogecoin and LiteDogecoin
« on: October 21, 2018, 04:25:43 PM »
A few days ago when I tried to find out the price of dogecoin on CMC, I saw a new coin called LiteDogecoin,
if you see from its name, LiteDoge is trying to perfect the lack of dogecoin, like Litecoin which is made to cover the lack of Bitcoin.
What do you think? do you have another opinion?

I've never heard of this till today, just googled it, pretty cool.  Looks like an actual currency not an ether contract.  Will have to look into getting some maybe, if I can.  I think it's very interesting but don't have much opinion on it's success in the future.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Dogethereum is a dogecoin fork. Is it true?
« on: October 21, 2018, 04:20:37 PM »
Many say that dogethereum is a fork of doge, is that right or wrong?
if what I see dogethereum is the latest breakthrough with a combination of doge and ethereum. so that investors hope dogethereum has a higher price than dogecoin.

To be honest I read an article about it, and didn't understand a thing that they said.  It talked about a test connecting doge to ether, but didn't say if it was a separate coin, or extra feature of dogecoin.

Ethereum Forum / Do smart contract coins threaten ether?
« on: October 21, 2018, 04:16:59 PM »
It appears the popularity of ether tokens and their use by ICO's are propelling the price forward, when the market is strong.  What do you think will happen when other coins will be used by ICO's as well, will this decrease the price of ether, or will it simply be even better and leaner, when so much volume it experiences will decrease?

Ethereum Forum / Re: Why love ethereum?
« on: October 21, 2018, 04:08:43 PM »
Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contract that enable us to send and store ERC-20 base token.
It is also use as one major basis of newly ICOs that engage in cryptocurrencies world of chance, opportunities, and risks.
Good for short term and long term investment depends to individuals strategies and wants.
There are more reasons to love ethereum.

Do you love ethereum? Why?

I don't love etherium, its good for medium to large positions, but sending it back forth at amounts below five dollars gets costly.  25 to 50 cents per transaction is not bad, but ten of those is five bucks already.  Great for holding and future value though, as you said a ton of ICO's are using it.
