Investing in a new coin at its early launch on an exchange can seem ideal for profit, but how many investors ended up having as many gains as they thought from their early investment in a new coin?

What I have heard and seen is that many early investors find themselves losing their investment out of greediness because they thought the new launch coin would keep increasing to give them many profits, while it falls in price drastically when they don't expect
The crypto market will always be two ways, the same trade that made a particular trader profit could be the same that will result in loss for another. Timing is the best, i heard some traders lost while trading TRUMP because they entered the trade very late while some claimed they made “generational wealth” simply by getting in early.

I believe that’s how people could get to invest in your project: there is something innovative in your project, and it will be the attraction or key highlight of the project that they would be buying for. That’s just how the world works now, and I think there is nothing you can do about it.

Yes, if a project has a valuable use case, it will definitely attract more investors. Interestingly, projects with utility always thrive on a longterm but developers nowadays just want to build projects with the aim of making quick profits.

As someone who deals with media a lot, i was not aware there’s a decentralized data storage system now or i’m i the only one in the dark ?

Decentralized data storage have been around for long time, although i don't how decentralized is it in practice. CoinGecko even made price comparison back on 2023, Centralized vs Decentralized Storage Cost (2023) .

Apparently this project Walrus, provides efficient data storage solutions by storing and delivering raw data like videos, images and PDFs. I also like the fact that it supports web applications.

I searched "project walrus" on Google Search, but it shows unrelated stuff (such as video game, android application and DARPA project).

I find stuffs like this interesting because most projects nowadays just seem to be repeating the use cases of projects in the past. This is not me hyping it, i just find it cool. Do you also think projects should have more improved use cases ?

In general, i agree we definitely need cryptocurrency/blockchain project with use-case other than speculation, investment or payment method. Although IMO not all use-case is suitable or needed to be done on decentralized or blockchain system.

Hopefully we get to see more projects with good use case that can exist for a long term. It’s really great to see projects with real utility especially now that scam projects are all over. If you search for “walrus decentralized storage” you should find it. By the way, which use case do you think is not suitable to be decentralized ?

It seems to get more profits in crypto now, you have to get in early. I’ve been seeing a lot users saying they gained a lot of profits by being early investors in recently listed projects. They said they would buy early on to have a better chance to get in before the price pumps, when Binance lists the projects. I even saw a post earlier stating he made 3000% returns using this strategy.

This made me remember when i also made unexpected profits last year by buying PNUT early on Bitget which i later sold when Binance listed it. Same thing also happened with $BMT, i think this is an eye opener for me because the latter has been giving signs of potential listing of $SIREN and MUBARAK through its voting platform.
I might as well just buy them now on Bitget and hold before the price surge again. I think this pattern has been going on for a while now but i didn’t take note. Who else has been using this “buying early strategy” ?

With the recent security issues that’s been happening lately, I’ve become extra cautious. Earlier while i was checking online for more ways to store and keep one’s assets, i came across a data storage network that claimed to be decentralized. Actually that wasn’t the exact thing i was searching for but the use case was what caught my attention.

As someone who deals with media a lot, i was not aware there’s a decentralized data storage system now or i’m i the only one in the dark ?

Bitcoin Forum / Re: will bitcoin ever not be volatile?
« on: March 25, 2025, 05:04:58 AM »
before bitcoin was seen as an investment opportunity and it was not valued as high as it now back then, you could buy pretty much anything with a few bitcoins but now is not the same anymore no one almost wants to use their bitcoin to buy anything certainly something as mundane as pizza for example

we could say that people's reluctance to not using bitcoin for everyday transactions can also be because of its volatility but as we talk about the future where bitcoin is adopted globally by the masses and used for everyday transactions, do you think that a time will ever come where bitcoin will not be volatile?

since bitcoin is decentralized and its value depends on the people who holds it, will there ever be a time where its volatility stabilize? are there any ways to stabilize its volatility?

People hold on to Bitcoin because they know its future value, they certainly know in the next few years the value would have certainly risen. Regarding its volatility, I don’t think it will ever stop been volatile but its volatility will reduce with time. The more investors and buyers, the more stable it will become.

Bitcoin Forum / Is it best to start DCA now as a new investor ?
« on: March 25, 2025, 04:51:58 AM »
With Bitcoin currently at $86k, it’s safe to say buyers are constantly buying the dip which has resulted in increased momentum in favor of the bulls. I’m excited Bitcoin is picking up again, it stayed below $80k for too long. Even though i knew it was due to market correction, i just kept wondering if it will drop further below $70k in the coming bear market. As a new investor, do you think it’s best to start DCA or to wait for the bear market before investing ? What’s your opinion on this ?

The major challenges concerning this is the government regulations, which may includes taxes they pay, the supply of electricity and a crypto friendly environment that enables for the mining they do, you can agree with me that there are situations that may be unconducive for the establishment of a mining rig, this could be a location barrier or from the above mentioned related challenges, on why a mining rig or miners should relocate for to a better environment.
Of course one of the major reasons is the supply of electricity but don’t forget the cost also. Some countries electricity rates are very cheap compared to the US where most miners move away from. Location barrier is also a major problem but i wonder why these countries where miners move to usually don’t have their own mining rig.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Altcoins Discussion
« on: March 23, 2025, 07:27:41 PM »
The main key factor I look out for in altcoins is their tokenomics(their token supply and distribution), their market capitalization, and finally, their community support.

What is their community saying about them? Are they in full support of the project dream and mechanism? Or the project is doing things on its own without seeking the support of the community.

My findings about the altcoins will determine what's my next step about the altcoins. Whether they are for short term profits or long term

For me these are also what i check for when i want to trade for a short term but i would rather go for the olderr and more established ones like Ethereum and XRP if i plan to hold for long.

With the memecoin hype cooling down, many believe liquidity is shifting back to other altcoin narratives. We're seeing renewed interest in AI, GameFi, and other strong, long-term projects like Immortal Rising, which just finished its test phase. The game engaged its community with rewards, making it a solid play-to-earn experience,I played it myself, and the gameplay and visuals were impressive.

While many still compare Web3 to Web2 games, Immortal Rising did a great job with its graphics and overall experience. Have you played Immortal Rising before what's your take on the game

I also noticed the trend shifting lately towards altcoins especially gamefi, this might be a good development.

Personally, i didn’t play the game but those who did said a lot about how interesting the game was especially the graphics just like you said. I like the fact that its token was airdropped, i found out from this post on twitter that’s it set to go live soon(https://x.com/bigwhaleg/status/1903736646056747152?s=46 ) which shows it has potential, what is your expectation of the price ?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Data centers in Nigeria?
« on: March 23, 2025, 05:44:44 PM »
I don't know, based on what I heard from conversations with people from Nigeria (and Kenya), it doesn't look like electricity there is not something to be proud of. I remember some chat saying certain official selling generators because they don't fix power outages.

Yeah, electricity has been a big challenge in Nigeria, there is no stable electricity supply and this will affect data centers except they plan to build alternative sources of electricity to achieve anything.
Electricity supply has been a big challenge in many African countries, and it something governments has to work on for a sustainable developments of the economy.

I get how tough the electricity mess in Nigeria can be, it's a real headache. But I think there's a way around it. I'd put money into stuff like solar power and good backup systems to keep data centers humming along. With some smart planning and the right setup, I believe businesses can still do great. If the government steps up on energy fixes, I see it helping the whole country grow down the road.

This is a good solution to solve the electricity issue but hopefully the government will take action. The country still has a long way to go, honestly. Who knows if the data centers are even using solar power.

Anyone who invest in the crypto has this thought of becoming rich one day so let's discuss whether it's still possible in 2025 or it has been decreased due to the changes and new projects popping up.

In those days someone who bought bitcoin for $100 or even turned them into millions or even in billions and now Bitcoin is out of reach for average folks so they just move towards the altcoins with similar hopes and to be honest some of them made fortune with altcoins too like meme coin trend made some new millionaires however the trends are getting out of reach, new projects everyday so the trend keep changing makes it harder than ever.

Crypto has become way difficult than it was few years ago, i know most people come into nowadays thinking it’s easy to become a millionaire without having the motivation to do the work required. Memecoins can make one a huge amount of money quick only if the person is lucky enough to get in early in trending coins like it happened with $TRUMP.

DeFi tokens / Re: What do $BMT token offer to the crypto space!
« on: March 11, 2025, 03:48:30 PM »

Nothing, as long as the project before listing promises quick profits and could be the next big deal, it is best to avoid this project.

As for the funds raised, which is €6.5M, it is a small amount (if real) and will most likely be used to pump the project.

It seems most recent projects keep promising to be the next big deal but doesn’t mean a red flag in my book as long as they deliver what they’ve promised the community. The funding raised is still fair,  the listing price is what matters the most. Projects that are under the rader sometimes perform well but we just have to wait since Bitget and Bybit are listing it.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Can bitcoin hit $100k this year?
« on: March 05, 2025, 05:18:19 PM »
Bitcoin hitting $100k this year, do you think it's actually doable or is it just a pipe dream?? I mean, we've seen a lot of market swings, new rules and the halving, I'm torn. Some say institutional adoption could push it there, but others warn of a drop. Am i crazy for feeling FOMO or should i play it safe?? Bull run ahead or more hype??

For Bitcoin to reach the $100k mark is not impossible instead it’s more likely to reach above $100k. Following the recent halving and the rise in demand, it’s vey much possible. I’m sure more investors are coming in after Trump’s announcing his interest in crypto.

Incentivised Posting / Shill / Re: Ways Of Getting New Tokens.
« on: March 05, 2025, 04:54:44 PM »
What events do you participate in during this period of uncertainty in the market, and in what ways do you get newly listed tokens aside from airdrop?

OP there are many ways one can get tokens or coins if they are ready to do that, aside from airdrops, finance, and some notable exchanges does Launchpad where one can farm for the token or coin to be listed or one can take part in the premarket launch on exchanges, it is there for all to see, it is not hidden.

That’s a good point you made there regarding participating in premarket launch on exchanges, i took part in quite a few in the past and it was worth it. It seems the OP is referring to PoolX on Bitget, i saw it earlier and it might be worth trying out considering one can get airdrop tokens by simply locking up ETH for a few days especially now when the market is unstable and i’ve put trading on hold.
