Gambling discussion / Part II: USYK vs DUBOIS 19th July 2025
« on: April 30, 2025, 11:24:46 AM »

USYK
vs
DUBOIS

19th JULY 2025

Usyk is a great boxer but I think his era is coming to an end.

In a hugely controversial decision, Dubois lost the first fight against Usyk in 2023. It was in round 9 he connected with what was deemed to be a low punch by the referee but many spectators disagree. Many thought Dubois won that fight before Usyk was given a chance to recover by the referee.

If Usyk wins he will be a third time unified champion (twice at heavyweight once at cruiser weight). If Dubois wins he will become the first British unified heavyweight champions since Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield in 1999.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is TRUMP controlling BTC growth?
« on: April 30, 2025, 11:16:30 AM »
Regardless of how bad he might be performing  on the international stage, Trump has pleased a lot of crypto enthusiasts around the world. He has a completely difference approach to hos predecessor Biden, that is one thing he deserves credit for. As for the rest of his antics and the general state of US politics, the less said the better.

For a new group being introduced to crypto, it could serve them well if they network and meet others at events, exhibitions and conferences. There are others that found their way to crypto years ago and maybe prefer to keep away from events as they have already invested and se no need to network.

I think it is safe to assume Satoshi had no idea just how big crypto would become and how it would affect the world. By creating a story around the success of Bitcoin with the disappearance of Satoshi paints a false narrative. I doubt the two are connected or whether Satoshi wanted it to appear that way.

That sounds like a nightmare scenario. Imagine wanting to go to prison just in order to ensure you have food and a relatively warm place to spend the nights during the winter periods. I hope those days are in the past and people that need help actually get it from the social service.

Because life outside is too harsh.
Back in the 90s when all of Eastern Europe was still poor and you had by no means an easy life in an overcrowded prison, there were still known people here in the neighborhood that starting autumn would steal in the open something or break a glass or door just so they could be sentenced to 3 to 6 months in prison during winter, the police knew them, the judge knew them, they just needed a guaranteed warm place and food.

There are massive institutes that have pumped billions of USD$ in Bitcoin since the introduction of ETF. Alongside them there are small investors that buy whenever they can. What emotions are they going through when Bitcoin is a risky bet and thrilling investment?

Ethereum Forum / Re: Reason why you hold Ethereum
« on: April 27, 2025, 05:17:38 PM »
I do not know why Ethereum is not growing as much as it was a few years ago. The growth is slow. Other crypto is becoming serious choice for investors as they look to buy. Those that are holding ETH still believe in the project but in the end they cannot hold unless they have some hope of making a profit.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Trading is not same thing as Gambling
« on: April 27, 2025, 05:06:30 PM »
I agree in the general sense because that is the main difference between gambling and trading, however when trading becomes reckless (no matter how much analysis there is) it is akin to gambling. The problem is compounded when traders contemplate when to sell to make a profit.

I agre with you, gambling is based on luck. that's all.
But In trading, needs skill, analysis, strategic, management of emotions etc. Trading is need experience and also knowledge about the coins and the projects. We should have good analysis and do research before buy the coins for trading.

Again, these types of threads are pointless except to add post count for those creating them. This thread has to go along with the others that should never have been created. Whether it drops below $90,000 or not, there was no need to create a pointless thread asking the pointless question.

Trump cannot control Bitcoin. At the most he can influence how it is accepted or rejected in the US but other than that he probably has zero control. Bitcoin is growing and along with it (but at a slower rate) other crypto are growing. He seems to have made some overall impact that is deemed as pro-crypto. Maybe it will continue.

Is china doing much on this issue with Donald Trump and America because everybody already thought when he came back to power he will restore the order and let the nation be one, but unfortunately he is just doing the other side of peace, the painful part is that his decision is affecting BTC from $100k to $70K and i think it is currently heading to $80k and something, if you were to mean with TRUMP, what will be your advice for him on this BTC matter?

Benn stated after the fight he wanted rematch, if Eubank wants to avoid it he will. I think he will be confident he can beat Benn again therefore we will see them in the ring again. The television commentator scorecard had Benn ahead, the fight was a lot closer than people probably expected.

I have never doubted the power of lobbying groups. They have a lot of power and influence in the political sphere and they are usually involved in many behind-the-scenes policy making.  Some as we know are quite open about their funding of politicians and what they back them for. I am just not sure how it will affect Bankman-Fried in a positive manner but as you stated, I would not bet on it.

I wouldn't bet on that outcome. At the moment, it does not seem that there is much chance of this happening, but towards the end of the mandate, presidents usually use the pardon mechanism much more intensively. We should not forget that SBF has filled the pockets of many politicians and influential people and that it has influential parents, therefore their lobbying will continue.

Well, if that is your goal I wish you success. The other forum is where all of the posts are, I presume you have read the posts. As far the emails are concerned, Satoshi probably did not release any therefore if someone publishes an email claiming it was from Satoshi we night not accept it.

I still have one goal, which is to read as many of Satoshi's emails and posts as possible in order to understand some things better

Sam Bankman-Fried and the FTX story was a stunning example of unbelievable success and then spectacular failure. Trump and crypto have become synonymous since he re-election, however I suppose this is one of the big crypto stories that he will not get involved with (and there is zero chance of Bankman-Fried getting a pardon).

Imagine the sentiment and level of frustration someone would feel if they had a bad experience using an exchange because it was mentioned here in the thread. There are many factors to observe in how exchanges operate (liquidity, pairs and customer services) but at one time or another every exchange has received negative reviews. What worked as the absolute best for one member might not work for another.
