A meme coin ETF is like a dream, no utility but has turned as the investors new community. If Dogecoin is successfully registered it may motivate other meme projects to seek ETF registration.
even if dogecoin etf gets approved, not all memecoins should get approved for an etf let alone even try to seek for a registration and i hope that the standards are maintained for approving etfs otherwise influx of memecoins etf without any utility or so much as a community might ruin the image of cryptocurrency for the general public

well anyway i do not think etf companies would be interested in most of the memecoins anyway since most of them are just a product of pump and dump schemes they should stick with memecoins that have been around for a long time like dogecoin

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: Gambling is today's reality
« on: April 30, 2025, 06:12:16 PM »
Alot of youths in this 21st century tends to be making it through betting sites(gambling),
That's a lot of assumption, the kind that can encourage more youths to gamble because they think their age is making it from gambling, so they start gambling without considering that losses are also made. Gambling is not a source of income; youths should try considering other skill sets that can become a stable source of income and not gambling.
kids gamble because they are hoping to earn money that they can use for their luxuries at such a young age they are not yet responsible enough and they tend to just act without thinking much and the worst part here is it’s not even their money they are using to gamble but their parents’ so their parents are working hard and their kids are just using it recklessly

But with the news of hackings, the services of anonymity are also targeted by the government due to the usage of theirs. The government only looks at mixers like that and not for ordinary people increasing our privacy.
I honestly don't think they differentiate mixers into a group of "good guys" and "bad guys" like that. Based on some articles that they published (the US at least), it's clear they consider a mixer or any privacy tools legal, but the government must have access to the data, or they'll call it illegal, and so on. Obviously, a business will get more scrutiny if it processes a high volume of hacked funds. More marketing definitely increases the chances that bad actors will abuse the service for what they need, so the dev must be careful with that. CMIIW.

Government will always have some hidden clauses in their rules especially when it comes to privacy issues that involves money.
Again, the US is the center of attractions to the world, any developments, whether positive or negative, at some times impact the other parts of the world. If mixers are considered legal, to some extent,  as you read on the article, I think that other countries may follow the same process or idea.

In my opinion, the US sets some standard, and as long as the current regime of President Donald Trump remains crypto friendly, we may have lesser regulatory effects on the crypto economy.
usa is a big country no matter how much people are saying that the us dollar is declining it still remains to be a strong currency and they still have a strong economy compared to others so they really do serve as a standard for other countries in a way them accepting crypto made other countries more decisive about crypto either they value usa's actions or they just simply want to compete with usa and want to get ahead of them

anyway about the government having access, i do not know what to feel about that even if we are confident with mixers being clean does that mean that we can give access to government and therefore control? we would essentially be giving up our data either way

As cryptocurrency investor or trader we should be very mindful on the kind of people we should follow on twitter (X) or how they post information about coin especially meme coin, I wouldn't be that fooled that to start jumping from coin to coin to make sure I secure profits for myself.
the thing is a lot of people are too lazy to make research for themselves and always want to just follow whoever they idolize but even your most favorite influencers you have to be suspicious of

do not fall victim to this kind of scams where it is easily avoidable because they are not forcing anyone to invest it is all up to you if you want to believe them or not do not blindly follow the people you follow especially you do not know them beyond what they show you through the screen

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What to expect from BTC
« on: April 30, 2025, 01:17:35 PM »
before this year ends we will see bitcoin reach ATH again. many predict so. because the peak of the bullish season will likely occur in Q3 this year so for those who are still holding top coins should be patient. because the key to investing in crypto is patience, although this requires free funds to do so but I see many people enjoying it
it is definitely difficult to control oneself especially during hard times and you are wanting to just take out the money you have in bitcoin to spend but we must always remind ourselves of our end goal and aside from being patient there really must be a strong will and discipline because bitcoin rises too and we get urges when this happens urges in which will benefit us now but if we fight it could benefit us even more in the future

I don't do a lot of math so as not to get frustrated later, but of all the ones I'm participating in I hope to at least get around 1.5k USD combined
is that 1.5k for all the airdrops you are farming? you must be farming a lot then because nowadays you will be thankful for a $50 reward
Quote
That would be a “fair” reward for the effort and risk I took farming these protocols.
what is fair nowadays? you can give your best efforts and still have someone receive more than you some projects do not have clear standards of how much is being given based on your participation if you give money you get more distribution and if not then you will not have the most

I am not familiar with the UK crypto scene but I am sure they can be able to contribute a lot to the industry if given the chance to and not anymore think of what can be later with murky treatment from the government. There is really that need to clear things and to define matters so that the field is fair and a lot simpler.
what’s quite interesting is i just recently found out that uk left eu a few years ago eu doesn’t seem to be that open when it comes to crypto if the ban of tether is anything to go by so maybe uk leaving eu was a good thing after all and now they can make their own path when it comes to crypto

many countries are looking to set proper and official regulations about crypto and it seems like they are heading towards positive direction so i guess these regulations may bring more benefits after all at least the industry will now be officially realized

More than 200 victim impact statements, many reviewed by Decrypt, have been submitted to U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl ahead of Mashinsky’s May 8 sentencing, with the overwhelming majority demanding the severest possible punishment for the mastermind behind the failed crypto lender.
they are understandably devastated but they are also obviously emotional but in reality this will not happen in real life that he gets the severest punishment possible unless he has taken someone else's life or at least attempted to he will not get that most severe punishment everyone is hoping he will get

There are some experiences that are not shareable in the public and they are private forever. Just like what the Bible says, Anyone that says he or she has not sin, the person is a lier. And just like this thread, if anyone comes her and says he has not faced or experienced any bad things in life, he is a  lier just that we can't share everything in the public.
you are right that everyone experiences hard times but i believe we all experience hardships differently for example a rich person’s concept of hardship might be different than a poor person’s concept of hardship

rich people usually tend to have an easier life but i am not saying they never experience challenges as well it’s just that compared to poor people they definitely have it harder

first of all we won’t really know how bad the lifestyle is at a country until we visit it and we experience what it’s like to live there every day but also why we romanticize the life abroad is because no matter how bad it is there, it is still better than in some of the third world countries
Well yeah true. Nowadays I don't usually believe in news and social media for some reason because of fakery that's going on tons and tons of propaganda that's misleading and we are now victims of false belief just by looking at these outlets. I don't travel abroad but I am just curious what really is going on in countries the media is referring to as struggling economies of some sort I always see that on socmed seems a clickbait to me or it really is true? What do you think?
we can never know the extent of truth until we experience it ourselves i do believe that we can find some truth in some news however being there and experiencing things first hand will always be the best truth teller we just need to find the most trusted and accurate news source but always take it with a grain of salt

the best sources of news are the people living there themselves

Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play or it remains luck?
« on: April 29, 2025, 09:06:54 PM »
Gambling is not a skill, therefore, no matter how hard to try to learn it and how experienced that you are, your win still depends on luck and not skill. For every skilled based game, luck is very important to win the game than skill. This is why I don't think that it's important for you to think that you can learn gambling to make profits. Gamble for fun.
Exactly, there is no such strategy in gambling where one can win by applying the strategy. In gambling luck must be given priority.
some people may prioritize luck too much by turning too superstitious they believe that they cannot win if they miss a step in their routine or if they don’t do something particular like wearing a specific clothing they think is lucky
Quote
It is better to leave it to luck and should not expect much.
sometimes luck comes in when you least expect it so don’t anticipate it and just enjoy

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: One Game Always Ruins Everything
« on: April 29, 2025, 07:02:44 PM »
When i am Betting i am betting just for fun, if i want some profit i play Blackjack
blackjack and sports betting are both games that require something more than luck people will even say that both require some skills with blackjack of course your strategy and experience can increase your chances of winning and with sports betting the more you learn about the sports and the way you can take advantage of the betting options the higher chances of winning as well

the difference is that with blackjack almost all factors are up to you but in sports betting it depends on the athletes you betted on if you will win or not

DeFi tokens / Re: Crypto scams are everywhere. How do you stay safe?
« on: April 29, 2025, 06:47:50 PM »
To safeguard yourself from crypto scams activities, these step may help avoid these scammers that are going almost uncontrollable.
1.Stay away from phishing sms, emails unknown links.
2. Always asked if you are in doubt of any suspicious emails, links and SMS alerts. Don't assume.
do not be gullible and always double check the source of emails or texts coming towards you it is usually very easy to check your suspicions unknown numbers or emails must be double checked don’t click on anything they send you unless verified
Quote
3. Do not exposure your crypto transactions addresses online or advertising your crypto achievements, and be very careful who you discusse sensitive crypto related transactions.
lots of people think that just because we are using anonymous accounts on the internet, we are safe but there are plenty of ways to hack you even without getting personal information out of you

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BitcoinMeter app 100k?
« on: April 29, 2025, 03:38:50 PM »
Reaching $100k again is very reasonable if you look at the recent price movements of Bitcoin. Although for example there will be another correction before touching that number, however, we just have to wait for the moment for Bitcoin to soar even higher.
right now bitcoin is just playing above $92k which is a huge relief it has not gone past $96k which a lot of people are thinking that if it does then it will be soon that bitcoin goes to $100k again we must stay patient maybe there could be an event that would drive bitcoin to $100k

Most individuals compares crypto trading to Gambling, others compares crypto airdrops (P2E, A.K.A Tap-Tap) to gambling. While some still compare the likes of presales, ICO's, Investing in memecoins, pump and dump schemes etc to gambling.

Though most users do their personal comparison but in this present, what aspect of Crypto can be equated to gambling?

Your thoughts.
i think what you have mentioned are what can be compared to gambling but to me airdrops especially that of memecoins are the ones close to gambling adding to the fact that some memecoins do require you to play their games usually in telegram to qualify for their airdrops so to me that is the closest to gambling

some people might say that they are not playing the games for the fun of it but for the possible profit it may give and that to me sounds both gambling and participating in airdrop of memecoins
