Crypto currency investment is still one of the best form of investment ...
Crypto investments have benefits over some other form of investment in our country, as long as you can practice self-custody well. Crypto offers opportunities that some other investments do not offer, for example, that you can invest any amount of money that you have and do not necessarily need to have a lot of money before you can invest in it, so that makes it very good for people in this economy where things are very unstable and expenditure is quickly almost becoming closer to total amounts earned and the amount for investment is being threatened. For some other investments, you need to have a lot of money before you can invest, but not crypto.
Cryptocurrency investment makes us more manoeuvrable than any other kind of investment especially during oscillating economic states. It is convenient because, with rather small capital, we can begin investing without waiting for large funds, so for those who want to manage their money on their own and invest, even with small amounts, it is suitable.

Also, with crypto, investors get a chance of something that is almost impossible in conventional investments. When the expenses are on the raise, it is essential to be able to invest with the minimum amount of money allowing to create capital and stay financially secure in the future.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Any payment system on ETH worth mentioning?
« on: November 02, 2024, 11:12:01 PM »
It's close to something I'm looking at .like I said earlier, would love to improve my ETH holdings though
Hodling is a personal choice I wouldn't actually criticise any one for hodling and coin because they are actually responsible for their risk management and as a result it would be wrong to either condemn a bitcoiner or an altcoiner except you of course promote a scam coin or token. The idea is you should have your personal hodling goals and a strategy.

Now I'm using the word strategy to suggest that you know what you are doing and don't get moved by fake news or meaningless blogs. FOMO is something you need to avoid as well as scams and hacks by improving your security.
Yes, Hodling is fully in our hands and every single step entails the consequences of potential risks. To get around this we need to have set goal, so hodling stays in line with the direction we want for our funds while not causing people to make wrong decisions based off believing in us. All of those personal decisions with the exception of promoting questionable assets are worth respecting as long as we do not consider promotion of such assets.

This way we will not find ourselves being influenced by false information and control for FOMO, frauds and other securities. But if an additional level of security is provided, there will not be any problems with assets, and they will be able to reveal their potential even further.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Nothing beats end of the year crypto events
« on: November 02, 2024, 11:04:56 PM »

Is there a huge crypto holloween party?
The particular even that has been said was the election as said, Trump is about to win that's why crypto is rising and it's all because Trump is crypto supporter.

There isn't something that will make crypto pump but just the halving unfortunately it will take place that long. Bull run takes time before it commence.

Your experience on Crypto is quite interesting to say. Airdrops are just a hit and run engagements. Already some projects have started their Halloween party and if you do your research properly, you would get more clues on the events and how to go about it.
Obviously, these periods seems to be short as a result of the nature of the celebration and it is always like that when it comes to engagements of this nature. You should also have it in mind that these period is a festive season and it is short hence projects would set up giveaways for their Participants  to also share the joy of the season as it comes. Do not expect it to be forever as they can not be able to afford such expenses.

I'm used to just read what's in the forum though. The events these days are announced on some social media sites, probably the reason I'm not aware of these events.

If its promising, someone would post it in BTT giving updates to users who also just stays in the forums. Usually it would spark a hype like Hamsters did.

Yes it is good to read what is on the forum because you will still get information about happenings as well and also about events forth coming about the season. I believe some  projects have started announcing their Halloween contest on btt platform even here too if I am not mistaken. If  you check some projects social media handles, you could get some of the Halloween contest for yourself I do not think Halloween contest sparks a hype as you have said as it is something that is being contested for and the possibility of one winning the prize is narrow so it is best one contest with the aim of catching fun than being disappointed.
It allows us to be aware of everything that is going on and everything that is being provided, events and contests, for example the Halloween contests that some projects are starting to announce. As for these, one may learn more about them, if he/she checks the social networks of the given project. Entry to such promotions should be done with the spirit of fun, but not with high expectations of winning the prize so that in case we do not win, it will not break our back.

These elements have enormous potential for growth with large deposits of natural resources and the availability of a talented and hard working population. Addressing these fundamental essential services and infrastructure, we in fact could and should effect change for the improvement of the quality of life of the entire society.

This means that if the government always consider the people as a priority, we are likely to record a change in various aspect. Prudent utilization of resources and cutting our dependence on foreign loans will create a solid path to more sustainable prosperity for all of us.
These natural endowment and people capital offer us a good chance to better the lives of our people. It is the attempt at improving standard services and provision of infrastructure needs that will be seen by all of us. When the government puts people first and controls resources autonomously, we can create sustainable welfare which the foreign loans are not necessary.

Nigerian Languages / Re: is there need to get disturbed over karma?
« on: November 02, 2024, 10:38:57 PM »
As far as you're posting quality post, and your not defaulting any of the forum rules, then someone will give you karma.
I really appreciate everyone showing love to the upcoming by giving karma so that the upcoming will be motivated...

The karma is just for post quality as I've noticed that for now it doesn't really adds up to anything on your profile. I also know that by the time this forum will become more popular and even have more traffic things might decide to be changed by the admins. This changes might also affect the way accounts ranks up and probably karma might be included as a criteria to rank up. The karma is easy to accumulate for now though nobody knows how it would be from time to come. So it's best to do what ever you can to acquire alot now.
Well, Karma seems to not have much influence on your profile currently, but it’s important that we use this time to start posting good content. Imagine that in the future, the forum becomes increasingly popular, and more people are attracted to it and the rules of the ranking, karma participating in the ranking may appear. Which is why it is advisable to accumulate as much karma as possible now for use in the future.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Off topic & Sports SubBoard Should Be Separated.
« on: November 02, 2024, 03:09:57 PM »
Off-topic and sport should not be on the same board regardless of this forum being a crypto forum or not. I do not know the reason why sport is even created. I think we are fine with the main local board and off-topic. I think anyone that is interested in sport should go to the general sport board to discuss what he wants to discuss. Sport can not have a single board on this local board. Even both off-topic and sport has not yet gone beyond a single page after several months that it was created.
Good point. Because if really the manager even count posts,  the local board sport Board Posts will not be counted as gambling posts but local board posts therefore it is better to delete the sport SubBoard in the local board. The off topic board and the main board is good to go as you talk am. It will be better for the sport aspect of the board to be Naija Politics and Society so that the political discussions will be separated from the cryptocurrency discussions.

For now the political discussions and cryptocurrency discussions are all in one place.
Agreed, Board restructuring from the sports, political, and crypto-sectional discussions will be easier to follow since they are specific categories. So, we could get to contribute in the areas that do not interfere with each other and enlighten the discussion in a easier manner. On the other hand it is clear that we also have the user base growing and that it is growing at a good pace.
By dividing discussions into more specific categories such as sports, politics and crypto the discussions will be easier to follow and can be organized better. This way we are able to post directly into the areas that we wish to and the conversation is more productive for everyone.

Also, as the number of users increases this grouping will allow us to update new topics that may arise without necessarily messing up with other discussions. It should also make user experience less stressful and thus more productive resulting in a stronger and more informative community.

Most of our parents are committed to traditional investments such as bank deposits, and some of them can neither read nor write and some have never heard of cryptocurrencies before, so in this situation, if we see that they have intention to do any kind of profitable investment, how do we convince them to invest in Bitcoin?
I'm interested in knowing what you think of this discussion.
The only way we can convince them is to show them about your result that you have gotten from the crypto investment as these old people will not understand what you mean by crypto currency investment but money had a way of speaking better than you, so if you show them about money you have made from crypto they will be convinced
Agreed, The best way to persuade them to believe in Crypto investment is to reveal the outcome received all over the world. That’s why by showing what this investment can bring in terms of tangible results it will be easier to explain what the value of crypto can bring for them. Its effectiveness and sustainability can be persuasively evidenced only by the accomplishment of goals and, therefore, nothing is stronger than proof of results in this context.

Nigerian Languages / Re: How we go take avoid crypto scammers??
« on: November 02, 2024, 12:36:32 PM »
I greet you all my fellow Naija people.
As we all know crypto industry no dey save again, scammers just full everywhere in the crypto industry.
Scammers no wan allow us rest na wetin dey worry me I sey make I con discuss am with my bosses here make una advise give us how we go take prevent ourself from this scammers in crypto.
With the advance of technology which has made crypto currencies popular in the world  as many are going into it and is doing well in it so also is scammers infact I can say that with the level of scammers have increased more with the arrival of crypto currencies, the internet today is full of scammers using the name of crypto trading many has fallen victim of such scammers but one of the ways that can be used to stop scammers is having a good knowledge base of the crypto space that it's not a Ponzi scheme where you double your money
However, be careful and strict when applying this recently growing ranged cryptocurrency technology. There are many great opportunities but there are also scams that make unrealistic promises of making you rich fast and are actually dangerous. Thus the more we create awareness and spread information about safe practices in involving cryptocurrencies, the better we protect ourselves from the bad types of fraud that crypto may breed.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Nationwide Protest.
« on: November 02, 2024, 11:52:46 AM »
Time for protests don pass because when them supposed protest na when this current president enter seat everyone wey dey want to protest now for stand up say we no need
Nigeria has gone pass the level of protesting as a country because it will fall on def ear just look at the innocent youths that was killed during the last end SARS protest what has happened to their killers and what has really changed from that time till now has police brutality stopped no instead it's even increasing. Protest can't work in Nigeria as our leaders don't have a listing ears they are not sympathetic to the cry of the common man, what's actually needed in Nigeria currently is revolution we need to declare war so that these old politicians will be killed or put into prison as that is the only way out as protest will not work
We all know the bitterness that comes with the feeling that voice of the people has not been given the credit it warrants. The scale of the tragedy and the obvious violations of people’s rights require an actual change, not rhetoric. It is time for us to unite and work for our incorporation, for our leaders to listen our common desire for a new, safe and dignified life.
It is now time for people to unite so that those we elect and choose can recognize our voices and value them in everything being decided regarding our future. To this we pledge our unified efforts and make a life that is safe, dignified and free from conflict a life that is capable of giving every person hopes and dreams of a life with out conflict. Only the real action that is taken implies the real change that will define our future surrendering to a better life that we need.

The world bank is one of the institutions that is part of the problem of Nigeria so we can't be believing in what they are saying as we should be careful with the so called world bank speculation because when ever the world bank see Nigeria as wanting to move forward they will come up with one story to distract our attention from moving forward. Because word bank is saying that inflation rate is dropping by24.8 but still yet the price of goods and services is on the high we should not take the world bank serious as the report are deceptive
The notion of economic growth has to encompass trust and recognition of actual local circumstances. In case the information coming from outside contradicts the actual situation, we have to rely more on ourselves and work out the corresponding strategies and options that correspond to the people’s requirements. That is why by aiming at the usage of experience and immediate observation of the existing processes, it is possible to create more suitable and effective economic policies in order to increase welfare within the country.
I believe in knowledge about our own states and especially stress the primary data as the main guidelines for further development of the economy. Thus, the points in question should be treated investigatively with an attempt to promote community priorities for constructing more suitable and efficient steps for the general beneficent. Such a change of this policy not only contributes to a fast and solid establishment of such an economic system, but can also help foster people’s confidence about what is being done at home so as to realize domestic affluent and healthy live in the fastest way possible.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The impact of crypto on our lives
« on: October 26, 2024, 07:34:11 PM »

I must say that what you said is the truth, that knowing crypto is very beneficial for us For crypto can also make us unhappy because we do the wrong analysis and anticipation correctly. For that, always updating knowledge by receiving information in forums like this is the best way.
It is truly noble what you should do by continuing to invest in crypto so that you achieve your goal of buying property, but once again, investing with the wrong analysis can also be detrimental, for it is always analyzes before acting, so as not to take the wrong steps.
buying property is my goal, if I get a lot of profit next year.
thank you for the advice, I always do analysis and observation before deciding to invest, even though I only buy top coins. but I still do the analysis because I choose coins in top coins that are more potential.
That is right, making a careful investment in one is wise, especially when we know what we want to achieve from our financial investment for instance securing a property. If we follow the leading coins that have potential we get more stable profit in the very volatile market. The actions we take to perform an analysis not only enable us to select assets prudently but also help us to respond to market movement more calmly and deliberately. If next year proves to be a successful one, we might be one step closer to the purchase of a property – increasing the efficiency of the obtained profit and, consequently, our future financial stability.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Bad rulers In Nigeria
« on: October 26, 2024, 07:12:34 PM »
Bad leadership is the fundamental problem of the country I can say ever since Nigeria gained independence from her colonial master it has not gotten any good leader.as they said everything falls down on leadership so no matter how good and blest a place is if it doesn't have a good leader who knows the needs and wants of his society that society can't develop and to a greater extend that's what we have been experiencing in Nigeria, because a country that is so blest with natural and human resources like Nigeria is still struggling with bad roads, no electricity, poor health care system and still depends on European nations to borrow money is a testimony that we have not gotten it right on the area of leadership
Indeed, one can categorically point of basic challenges that are faced in this country as having their roots in leadership that has never understood or valued its people. There is often little development in several vital sectors, even though we are provided with natural resources and wonderful potential in human resources. There are still some critical sectors such as, roads, energy importance, health facilities, and the education sector among others which are still far from decent enough to support a productive economy. As we go on depending on foreign assistance the more important question that stares us, as a country is how to achieve visionary leadership that is oriented towards the achievement of sustainable development, what aims at serving the people, and which guarantees prosperity. But can be realized when the leadership of the country is comprised of individuals who appreciate such needs.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Becareful when using P2P.
« on: October 25, 2024, 04:39:53 PM »
Why are Nigerian crypto traders referring to Binance as if he is only the reputed centralized exchanges? There are others like OKX and Bybit which has been operating since many weeks or like few years ago and having the P2P. Even while using Binance, you have to be careful not to let anyone scam you. Also if are using decentralized exchanges, you also need to be careful. Just because you are dealing with people and some people have only intentions to scam.
Well I wouldn't actually blame them that's simply because for quite a very long time now binance has actually been the most popular centralised exchange especially in this region of the world. However it seems that people actually began to shift gradually to other exchanges when there was the dollar crisis in Nigeria and the government decided the best thing to do was to cancel dollar transactions in Nigeria making P2p on binance involving Naira virtually impossible.

The sad truth is that if the Nigerian government hadn't taken those moves they made, majority of people making use of bybit as well as other exchanges wouldn't have switched.
However, many of us can comprehend why so many still do hold their investments in Binance particularly with it being one of the most dominating and stable CEX out there. But, the current dollar crisis, coupled with the restrictions on transactions have made many Nigerians to open their eyes to the fact that, they may have to change, and probably switch to other platforms like Bybit. The limitations that Binance’s P2P market is facing with the Naira makes us look at other ways to be active in the world of cryptos. To the extent that these steps have not been done by the government we may have not seen this shift on the use of the alternatives exchanges that is happening.
