But I think I have seen a similar thread here in the forum. If you were the starter of the other thread, it will be nice to maintain one single thread and be updating it monthly.

There's a thread for each month, this is fine. There's no requirement to have a single thread that get's updated once a month.

Personally I prefer a new thread each time as otherwise the latest info can get lost within the replies.

My concern was tracking the older posts. I was of the opinion that if they are not assembled in a particular thread it would be difficult to be found even with search tool, you might not land at the month you are looking for.

But haven reexamined the post, I understand that you link the older posts in every new thread you create. That is nice and it means that it is fine this way.

It's a bit strange that you didn't notice it in the first post, because all the links are more than visible. Also, @dragononcrypto is not the author of this (nor the other linked topics), but the author is @MrSpasybo.

I agree that there is something to it, because summer in the Northern Hemisphere is always a time when many people travel, and in addition, perhaps part of the reduced activity comes from the fact that a part of the forum users are somewhat disappointed in the effects of halving (completely unjustified, of course). We can hope that the situation will improve in the coming months, and maybe everyone should mention this forum to someone they know who is interested in cryptocurrencies.

Currently, I can sense the negative sentiment in the market through the decreasing views on crypto news channels or the declining interaction in crypto Telegram group chats. If this also affects AltcoinsTalks traffic, I wouldn't be surprised, as AltcoinsTalks is also a part of this market.

I regret not creating topics like this years ago to confirm my observations more clearly. Anyway, these topics in 2024 might be used in 2028 before we enter the next bullrun ^^

It's very interesting when you see the data for comparison and analysis
As I said in my previous post, at least the threads and posts remained almost the same, but you can see that the feeling has changed
The vast majority show up when prices start to rise quickly and when they rise a lot, then they lose interest and only return when the cycle starts again, it's all about the cycles, and even in real life I see a declining interest about crypto, nobody is asking me about BTC nowadays 

It's also interesting to note that the best time to build any kind of project is now, when the market is down

Yeah, during boring market periods, it's always the best time for Devs to focus on developing and upgrading their solutions instead of being pressured by marketing and creating FOMO on token price chart. We've seen a similar event during the 2022 crypto winter: most projects that hadn't launched in 2021 developed and introduced their products in 2023, mainly Layer-1s like Sui/Aptos, and Layer-2s like Optimism/Arbitrum.

For investors, this is a period to focus on restructuring their portfolios before the market enters a bullrun instead of panicking and selling tokens at low prices to whales, losing their very good position. I myself am continuing to DCA and stake tokens to avoid acting hastily and making mistakes ^^

It's really difficult to decide to all-in on ALTS. Before the halving, BTC created a new ATH but it wasn't a really good time to invest in ALTS because the price of many has returned to retest the bottom in the recent market panic. I think DCA would be a more suitable investment strategy, especially for investors who are not good at technical analysis.

Some trends have been very hot and considered the main drivers for the market in this bullrun: AI, RWA, DeFi, Layer-1, Layer-2, Oracle, DePIN... Investors can choose the best projects of each trend to participate, or simply buy native coins of the top blockchains to have maximum safe.

It's really difficult to decide to all-in on ALTS. I think DCA would be a more suitable investment strategy, especially for investors who are not good at technical analysis.

Personally I think buying altcoins with fiat currency is just daft and is usually a newbie mistake to make. When Bitcoin is outperforming the dollar, then you shouldn't be sitting in fiat (that covers 2023 basically). As for it being "too late" to buy altcoins when Bitcoin reaches new ATH, it is in fact exactly at this time that altcoins usually reach their lowest value against Bitcoin, or otherwise at the same time. So while many noobs are waiting to buy some sort of "break out" to higher prices for altcoins with fiat, after losing 60% fiat value in BTC terms, I'm instead (still) waiting to buy the dip using Bitcoin. I'm averaged in a bit, but with most altcoins still making new lows against BTC, there is certinaly no hurry here, it'll probably take another Bitcoin ATH in order for them to finally bottom out imo.

It's always been the strategy to buy Bitcoin at it's lows, then using a trading account of BTC to invest in altcoins at their Bitcoin lows, often a year or so later and only after Bitcoin prices rise to new ATH. Otherwise using fiat currency you will usually lose 50-70% on investment already in Bitcoin value that is, so you will always be chasing 2-3x to make up that loss first. Fundamentally, if your altcoins isn't outperforming Bitcoin, there is no additional value in holding it. Diversification for diversification sake is otherwise meaningless imo, as Bitcoin remains the no.1 crypto and outperforms altcoins 80% of the time (time wise, even if not price wise). Even if there are some alts that I hodl because they have maintained their BTC value for example.

Nobody really should go all-in in anything. Never put all your eggs in the same basket.

But buying a few altcoins, like 1-5% of your overall portfolio, when in a bear market might be a good idea because one those coins may just skyrocket (and you just need to hit one to make lots of money).

In the end, buying alts is only good to accumulate more bitcoin.

The flexibility in BTC-ALTS investment strategy is something we aim to achieve to optimize profits in a cycle, but it's quite difficult to realize. No one can predict with certainty when Bitseason will end and Altseason will begin.

Many investors accumulated BTC during the crypto winter and then used BTC to buy ALTS after the halving, but currently, their profits have decreased as many ALTS have retested the bottom price range of the crypto winter while BTC price remains above $50K. It would be interesting if we could statistically analyze the activity in the Bitcoin section with other sections in our AltcoinsTalks forum over time to find a correlation with the market state.
