How would they have plans for Nigeria when the derive joy in looting the country treasury, it is unfortunate that we keep having the same people with the mindset in the helm of affairs of Nigeria, I think Nigeria don't want to grow in terms of technology am saying this because a country that want to grow technologically will not want to frustrate technology settings instead they they will embrace it and figure out how it will help their economy, Nigeria is still far from the present day reality, many countries has embraced digital asset like bitcoin for a very long time and they have been able to understand the usefulness of the technology thats accompanied with it, many countries has been generating tax through digital asset, is no longer a news but instead Nigeria is busy making things difficult for the existence of the said asset.
The thing is that it is impossible for them to totally frustrate Bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally because people will always have alternative means of scaling through their unsupportive sanctions of crypto related stuffs
I think, we have to understand that there is a big difference between having a "president" and having a "president who is a head". In the case of Nigeria, we definitely have a president, but is he acting as a head?, Well, that's a question for you to answer. Take El Salvador for example. Their president (Nayib Bukele) is literally acting as a president and also as a head. Most of the flexibility in terms of regulation that Bitcoin gets in El Salvador were implemented by him. He is not just young, but as well up-to-date with current happenings. President Nayib Bukele knows very well that the world is fast growing beyond the old financial system.
I even sometimes watch videos of how Bitcoin enthusiast teaches El Salvadorian students in class about Bitcoin, Lightning network, Bitcoin mining, how to perform transaction, and so many other things. But here in Nigeria, parents are charged heavily to buying textbooks, whether it be necessary or not. I even doubts if majority of those in power knows what Bitcoin is aside the general fact that it is a money. We really have a long way to go as a country.
