Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success?

Telegram is just another way to fake volume and popularity and deceives investors, most of the 10,000+ groups have 95% fake and inactive members. Anyone can have a big channel these days with minimum effort. To be honest I trust more the channels that have logical numbers 500-1000 even 300 those channels tend to be more active than 10k+ channels because they are mostly real active members.

No, I don't think telegram can measure the ICO success. I see there are some telegram channels from several ICOs with many members but it brings no impacts for the tokens sale. I don't know if they make it by bots or manipulation, in fact the ICOs have the difficulties to get investors for the projects.

Well I've seen groups with TONS of members that are just there because you need to join to get an airdrop. But hardly anyone is talking... just spam comments. Then there are much smaller telegrams with a dedicated supporter-base that are actively chatting. I prefer the latter.

Well I think telegram has a tons of users of it. In that case, some of projects are using telegram to gain more members to build their community.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

I think yes the numbers members of community in telegram will helps the projects of ICOs successfull, because many good information about the ICOs on there and the community who has questions can be sent on there the developer of team will answer it and it will make clear explanation about the ICOs projects.

Most of huge project's telegram group members is a result of bounty campaign or airdrop task.  If you join a project bounty campaign you have to join several telegram group or even invited peoples to get more reward.  Telegram group is a good media to communicate and to know everything about the project but absolutely not an attribute of success.

I think it is not about the numbers of members in the group but it is about how active the group is in business related discussion. Although huge members helps to rapidly promote the project but the question is how sincerely the team are?

For me it's not about the percentage of a member on telegram it's about on how they're work on a project to get successful but i agree if some of the members on telegram are investors it can help the project success.

The number of telegram group members nowadays is more of a measure of airdrop and/or bounty success and not ICO success. Most members would not even join the presale.

Yes Telegram is an important and essential part of spreading the news of ICO which makes ico more successful. Now a days maximum ico will generally discuss on Telegram channel and groups via manually or Telegram automatic bot.

It is very important to answer the questions of the community in Telegram, but I did not categorically say that this measure of ICO success. But those projects which are silent and are not active in the group Telegram at risk to deter investors. It is not necessary to force the bounty participants to write empty messages there, it is more like spam, but the answers to sane questions - it really helps to promote the ICO.

Telegram is infrequently a measure of an ICO fulfillment. it's miles more likely the end result of a bounty like telegram referrals. i've seen a task with over a 90K contributors that did not reach its tender cap.

Amount member of Telegram group is an important factor to estimate about any ICO or token project but we should be careful coz some groups very crowded coz of airdrop or bounty campaing or just by the help of bots

Not exactly. Just because of having so many people in telegram groups of ICO projects doesn't mean they are going to succeed.

Just having an airdrop or bounties can call for so many people in telegram groups, and it doesn't mean anything. There are tons of examples to this, just need to look the right places.
