Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success?

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

I think yes the numbers members of community in telegram will helps the projects of ICOs successfull, because many good information about the ICOs on there and the community who has questions can be sent on there the developer of team will answer it and it will make clear explanation about the ICOs projects.

I am also looking at the telegram members as my basis on how many investors and bounty hunters are joining, the more, the more chances of succeeding but not all, still we can not say so maybe there are fake profile and bots in a telegram channel you're joining in

These can be measured also but we cannot totally say that the projects that has a big community in the telegram has big chance to succeed since the majority of the members of tha telegram are bounty hunters or not interested in the projects.

You can check on Google how to display or get Telegram members with the number of thousands of members.

Group social media can be manipulated and it is certain that the success of a project is seen from the #DevelopmentTeam  and the total Ethereum or Bitcoin that is collected.

Telegram is hardly a measure of an ICO success. It is more likely the result of a bounty like telegram referrals. I have seen a project with over a 90K members that failed to reach its soft cap.

Telegram is not a vital indicator of success. Yes, this is a very popular social network, but even a large number of followers in the telegram channel don't indicate that the project is legit. Sometimes people use special services in order to collect a lot of followers. This is only an illusion of success..

Telegram and social media are very important things to check before joining an ICO. Personally I always check them and ask questions to developers in telegram group.

I think the number of telegram members of an ICO cannot determine the success of the ICO. I also often join an ICO telegram with thousands of members but the project fails to reach softcap. Yes, many telegram channels manipulate the number of it members. Moreover, sometimes only several members seem active there. So, it is hard to believe the number of telegram members.

Yes, I think without telegram it would be difficult to survive ICO projects. Because most investors always sit in groups of telegram and communicate with the ICO project team. Also, telegram well helps to attract more people to the project, because they get news there, read messages and so on.

No it is not. There are probably more bots and multiple accounts than the number of real people in a telegram group. Noticed that only a handful are active even with tens of thousands of members

I think this can be a concern too with the explosion of followers of this project in one telegram, it can be interpreted that this project can draw someone's attention to create an opportunity for someone to participate in the ICO program in a project

I think that is a very fatal mistake! the telegram group is full because every member of the prize hunter invites people to join.

one of the ways is to assess the success of the ICO project by reading the whitepaper, website and the team that helped the project
