Iam familiar with both Metamask and Myetherwallet I had used both for my transactions which was swift however lately a lot phishing Myetherwallets flooded the cryptoshpere stealing unsuspecting users their hard earned money, metamask is too secured to be phished because it is an extension of chrome, except if the password is stolen.
