You are forgetting the common rule in crypto. If Bitcoin drops, everything (including your beloved ETH) drops. The rule applies even today but with one or two exceptions of course. Eth, for now, has not really established itself yet as a coin that will overtake bitcoin.

This rule will apply as long as Bitcoin will maintain its high level of capitalization. I do not think it will be permanent. Cryptocurrencies are developing rapidly, while Bitcoin is doing it very slowly. I do not see a direct path to a sharp increase in Bitcoin scalability. If this continues, Bitcoin will eventually lose both its high level of capitalization and its place as the leader of cryptocurrency. Indeed. Nothing is impossible but for now, it is unlikely to happen. Bitcoin is still leading all coins and it seems unstoppable. I don't see another one has power as Bitcoin has, including Ethereum. So, I think we still cannot see a chance for Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin this year.

I will say, no. Ethereum will do it neither in 2019 not in 2020 or in the nearest 5 -7 years. Bitcoin is toopopular to give up and give its place to ETH, which is a good alt but not better than BTC.

Why did you decide that Bitcoin will not be able to pass the barrier of $ 10,000 ?. He has already done it. Today, its price, according to CoinMarketCap, is 10,835 dollars, and the price of ethereum has increased to 307 dollars.
