Ethereum cannot take over from Bitcoin because Ethereum is still altcoins who always follow the steps of Bitcoin wherever Bitcoin goes.
But if the OP wants to get a better price then I recommend trading Ethereum rather than Bitcoin because Ethereum has a few decimals compared to Bitcoin.
