A few years ago you could just close your window drapes or hide a few bills under your matress... and you got your privacy...
These days our lives are hybrid, always in conection with a digital world and privacy is no longer a door we can close... should we give it up, or claim our right back? Well, at least we should have the right to choose!
There is a whole new generation of privacy coins that is overcoming some of the major flaws of the older competitors and offering a solid and flexible private asset.
Veil project is one of my favourites, combining Zerocoin and RingCT technologies, delivering "uncompromising, always-on privacy".
They use a combined Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake, in order to combine security and distribution. And Veil is the first coin that allows its holders to stake anonymously, generating passive income. On top of this, you can choose the level of privacy you want on your wallet/transactions...
What are your favourite privacy coins?

In one of the news topics on this forum appeared information about the publication of the report that the cryptocurrency is not suitable for use by terrorists, because it is bad to dispose of and manage.
However, I also believe that we need to return our confidentiality and first of all we need to defend our right not to undergo any KYC checks, since such a check against bounty hunters is illegal. We do not invest in ICO projects and therefore should not undergo such testing.

There is a whole new generation of privacy coins that is overcoming some of the major flaws of the older competitors and offering a solid and flexible private asset.

What exactly are those flaws that Veil is overcoming?
Is it more private than Monero?
Does Veil has something more to offer than Dash which is also widely accepted like Bitcoin?
It would be better if you could provide a comparison.

Why the mainstream private coins are not my favourites?
On Zcash, only 10% of the transactions are actually private because it is not private by default, nevertheless Zerocoin protocol, provides superior anonymity.
Monero is full-time private, but RingCT, however, based on sophisticated mixing, has been surpassed in terms of strength of anonymity by advanced cryptographic methods. Monero blockchain is also terribly heavy, facing scalibility problems.

With Dash you need to trust your privacy to the masternodes that mix the transactions, there is not much more to say...

A true private coin needs to be scalable, easy to use and as private and anonymous as a dollar bill

The danger of crypto being used by terrorists is another of those arguments comming from the whole... what have the terrorists used until BTC appeared? $$$$$$
Tere is nothing so untraceable as money...

KYC is another question, although I think that it is every project right to ask for your information, I think they should state it since the beginning, and should post info on how they'll be handling the data...

I have long chosen Bitcoin as the main currency. I am one hundred percent sure of his anonymity. From time to time I use ETH.
I am not going to change them, I completely like all conditions of use.

I stumble upon veil as well on bitcointalk forum and I can say they deserve the hail from a guy like you. Veil has recently resurface the crypto space. Dozen of exchanges listing them every time I visit their twitter and 3 days ago they have been listed right away on CMC. Wow what an achievement for a short period of time.

Thanks. I still a lot in my plate right now but this got me curious in Veil. It's been added to my "For research" list. If you can provide a link for a start, I'll highly appreciate it.

Why not? My transaction amounts are not large, I did not pass verification. My transactions cannot be traced.

What do you think about private coins? Now begins the trend for private coins, sharding, and so on. Since privacy is now really under threat.

Privacy is a very important matter for everyone, people just forgot about it while posting their life away on social networks... ignorance has brought us here and it is time for people to relise the true lack of privacy we live in these days. People still believe that setting your profile to "private" is the same as closing your drapes...
For me, privacy coins that achieve fungibility and allow for compliance will esily turn into an accepted global form of money

The best feature of the blockchain that is preferred above all other ones is the security of the network which as at now is being compromised.

In my opinion, to raise it again, we have to employ new and trusted establishments like Veil. This platform is sufficient for all the predicament of users in the vast network of cryptocurrencies.
