SafePal S: Best for trading, 5000+ cryptos supported
I might prefer the one I have seen before my own eyes, namely the Safepal S Hardware wallet and this is my choice.
I have never seen other hardware wallets in real life, but for the hardware wallet from Safepal S, I have seen it from a friend of mine who already has one.
He bought the Safepal S Hardware wallet during the Wallet Holder Offering event to get free tokens from Safepal. I was amazed to see the appearance of the Safepal S Hardware wallet because the shape was square, black and I thought it was very unique.

You can read some reviews online if you want to pick which one is the best for you. Personally, appearance is the last thing I think of when picking a new HW. In fact, an HW that stands out is not the best choice, especially if you plan to use it as cold storage. This is why I find Ledger's latest product appalling, it seems like they think people who want to buy a HW are looking for a phone and will show it off to others.

Why did you update the firmware? It actually allows other campaigns to view your cid phrase. Specifically...9 campaigns will have bits of words from your full phrase. How can Leadger be considered safe and secure after that?

I was forced to do the update firmware on the Ledger X when I wanted to trade on the PancakeSwap. I am quite sure that Ledger will generally become unusable over time without the latest update. So trying to break out their "recovery service" risk is just a delay of the inevitable.

Hardware wallet is good though but I haven't make use of any since I started my journey here, and I have been using another recommended wallet which is Electrum wallet which has been cool with me and have never recorded any attack so far. Although from what few people already mentioned here it seems to be the best and ledger Nano or Trezor wallet is also good one to use as recommended

Among many hardware wallets I prefer Sefpal hardware wallet. At the moment hardware wallets are more robust as there is no chance of being hacked. Because if you key is kept in the right place then there is no chance of hacking. So I always prefer Sefpal wallet.

For me, one of the most important things about wallets is that their code is open source. Unfortunately, not all wallets are, and that always means that, for example, we have to install "forced" updates without knowing very well what changes are added due to not being able to review the program code. Each user is the owner of their assets and it is really a personal and comfort decision.

The Ledger recovery service is a truly controversial update and is much opposed by those who care deeply about privacy, Your Key is Your Coins.
Speaking of risks, of course there will be risks, you are no longer the only one who can control your assets, Ledger has full control over your assets.

But to activate Ledger Recover you need to subscribe first and have to pay 9,99€ per month, but you will get 3 months free as a trial period.
will you pay for the feature?

I agree, it's only a matter of time, either way everyone will be forced or you won't have access to your funds. And then there's the reinstatement they came up with. I don't know how they managed to do it all in a year. And I don't understand Leadger's logic, with their flash drive prices. Why buy a product for 100-200$ if the cid-phrase will be stored on someone's servers.

Where is the point? They themselves probably don't even know what they did... And once upon a time, I thought it was number one (but didn't use it). And well, saved the funds. There are plenty of hot wallets out there. Take any of them, or buy other wallets (as an alternative).  ;D

Bitcoin is the most expensive cryptocurrency, with the largest market capitalization, hence ranked one in terms of that.

Hardware wallets are the most secure wallet types, as it comes with different levels of security.

Now, can anyone tell the best bitcoin hardware wallets to store the bitcoins safely?

By hardware we know about strong wallets. Since Bitcoin is a very valuable asset, a strong wallet is needed to store Bitcoin, so Safepal hardware wallet seems the most secure to me. Since the price of a hardware is 65$ (estimated price may be more) I suggest everyone to save a hardware wallet. Storing bitcoins on hardware is never likely to be lost or hacked.  But if the key is stored in the right place then there will be no fear.

That is news to me. Did the same thing happen when you use other dexes? Did you connect it to MetaMask or directly to Pancakeswap? I just swap my coins from BSC recently and I don't see any requirement to update my firmware. Also managed to trade some of my shitcoins in Uniswap and Raydium with MetaMask, yet no update is required. Is that requirement a recent thing then? How did they do it though? Through the connectkit that was hacked before?

I guess it is a good thing that I moved on from them quickly, don't know how fucked up I'd be if I need to update the firmware just to sweep my coins in the future.

I would never use a service like that in my life. Firstly because it is totally contrary to privacy, and secondly and even more importantly because of the danger that comes with knowing that there is "some" way to recover our private keys. Surely Ledger will say something similar to “we have maximum security” but logically this is not the case, cyberattacks are becoming more frequent and even more so are those directed at cryptocurrencies.

Yes, I know that "for now" Recovery can be activated on a voluntary basis. Again, where is the guarantee that they will not go to extremes soon. Not updating firmware = no access to your funds.
Previously, favored cold wallets of course. Now, the opinion has changed dramatically. Hot wallets, fully cover my needs.

I deliberately updated the Nano X firmware because I wanted to know the results (I forgot how many times I updated the Nano X firmware since I bought it a few years ago).

If Ledger can access and steal their customers' assets when users update the firmware, it means Ledger has become a scammer.

+ Why buy it and then connect to another wallet? Better to walk past Leadger altogether then. There are more than enough alternatives.

P.S. I do as I personally feel comfortable. Just expressing my subjective opinion on the subject. What to do/how to act is up to everyone.  8)

As far as I know, there is no Leadger hardware wallet.

Electrum vs. Electrum+Hardware Wallet
Which do you think has more value?

To use the hardware wallet, you need an app.
You might also ask why I don't use Ledger Live for every transaction with Nano X.
The answer is that the Electrum app is more straightforward and still supports hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.
On the other hand, Ledger Live is used on the mobile (smartphone) version.

Aside from storing crypto assets, my goal in buying a few different hardware wallets is to experience using them myself. It will feel different when I recommend a specific hardware wallet, but I have never tried it myself.

Re: Bitcoin hardware wallet

I think, For keeping your bitcoins safe, good hardware wallets are Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano X, Trezor Model T, and KeepKey. They're like special USB drives that keep your bitcoins super secure. Pick one that feels right for you to make sure your bitcoins are safe and sound!
Top five hardware wallets that are suitable for long term holdings, trading.

Trezor Model T : Overalls best for all devices, 8000+ cryptos supported
Ledger Nano X: Best for All devices, 5500+ cryptos supported
SafePal S: Best for trading, 5000+ cryptos supported
Ellipal Titan: Best for Mobile,
VC vault: Best for Long term holdings

See more details:click
I think one wallet is enough for one person. because most of them supported multi cryptocurrency.. It is hard to pick among these but I heard that Trezor is the most supported one.. I myself have Legdger which I bought back in 2019. that time legder was more famous and trusted but recently legder got into several problems and hacks. their legder live app was attacked by hackers multiple times. so if I had to pick one at current time. I would go with Trezor.

To use the hardware wallet, you need an app.

The answer is that the Electrum app is more straightforward and still supports hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.
On the other hand, Ledger Live is used on the mobile (smartphone) version.
You still need to install stupid ledger apps even if you use only electrum wallet and you dont use ledger live app  :P
I don't know any other hardware wallet that has so complicated system with apps, and I think this can be another big ''hack'' in future for them.
They messed up almost everything, so I would suggest making transition to any other open source device (trezor, keyston, bitbox, etc).
Easy way is just importing seed phrase from ledger, but if you want to be extra safe better generate new seed words and start fresh.

For Electrum, as long as we're good at protecting our seeds, it's actually one of the better wallets in the cold wallet space.
For hot wallets or cold wallets, it's the same thing if you're careless about how you use and store your seeds, it won't work so it depends on how you look after your wallet.

I personally until now still use electrum and for storage in a little longer time I use Trezor until now. As long as I use it I still don't have any problems and hopefully not forever because I really want to keep myself from carelessness to avoid being hacked.
