Forgot to mention but IPs were checked and there is no evidence these are multi-accounts, even if granted the IPs have probably been masked well here. Until IP mistakes or otherwise are made then not much can realistically do done about this, as not going to act based on a "hunch" that these are multi-accounts or shills without evidence, as labelling users as shills after one/two posts in a gambling ann is simply not a done thing here. At least from looking at the accounts, they appear to be "throwaways", and anyone following the thread should be able to identify that based on the activity of these users.
I don't expect you to like that answer, but that is the answer here.
I honestly didn't expect to check only whether it was the same user. Bypassing the IP address is the least of the problems. You moved the post to the 'Report Incentivised posting' thread and not to one that deals with multiaccounting. I would agree that there is more to the Incentivized posting thing here
This is because you shouldn't report multi-accounts based on a "hunch", but instead only with clear evidence, of which is not present (even if subjectively as close as you could get to it). This is to try to avoid wasting admin's time unnecessarily. How else are you proposing that we check that the users are the same, typography analysis maybe? I'm all ears if you have suggestions and/or can provide evidence.
For all we know there is a shilling campaign organized by hugewin, involving a variety of users as opposed to single user, but only time will tell and at present there is simply not enough to go on apart from certain hunches. For example if the accounts aren't throwaways but continue to post exclusively in the ann rather than contributing to the forum overall.
Maybe it's not obvious but I'm more concerned with the dozens of shills that have been disrupting various section of the forum over recent months, rather than a single ann, and instead focussing on that problem which is improving, rather than wasting my time warning or labelling potential shills that at present look to be throwaway accounts. Dealing with shills is already a whack a mole strategy with new accounts created once users are "sufficiently" punished. From a moderation standpoint, there's no point whacking a mole that isn't going to surface again basically.
Naturally another global mod can ignore my opinion and act differently on this matter, but I doubt anyone can be bothered when there are more important issues tbh.
