Should we be stocking up on ALTS?
« on: August 06, 2019, 09:44:24 PM »
Should we be investing in ALTS? The buy orders are terrible so no one is giving a realist price on the ALTS. People are not willing to let it go for a certain amount too. I think it is $0.10-$0.15 / ALTS.
It really should be more than that but hey.

I want to know if it is a good idea to invest in some so that I increase my stakes in the distributions. How often are these distributions? Can some members here who have experience with this please give me some insight into the coins they have received during these distributions. Or just to talk about ALT and distributions in general.

Necro-bumping this post that I stumbled across by mistake, as it suddenly became relevant again imo. The current lowest sell order on etherdelta last I checked was 0.0002 ETH, which is now (over a year later) $0.12. Ironically, this means the price has been stable (due to Ethereum's stability more than anything), but also because there hasn't been any buy or sells on dexes for too long like 22 months.

I otherwise have a pending transaction to pump the price to 0.0002 ETH, which will 20x the price when it clears, just cos I can  8)
It's only to buy another 11 ALTS, just so then I have 1,300 which feels like a rounder number, and then will be worth 0.26 ETH instead of 0.01066 ETH  :P

I want to know if it is a good idea to invest in some so that I increase my stakes in the distributions. How often are these distributions? Can some members here who have experience with this please give me some insight into the coins they have received during these distributions. Or just to talk about ALT and distributions in general.

To give you a bit more info, there are currently over 500 holders of the ALTS token, even if no dex trading occurring, so actually many hodlers.
The idea in the near future will be that advertising will be purchased in ALTS, therefore this will increase the demand and utility...

Progress at the moment is attempting to create utility and purpose. Like the idea of advertising being in the form of ALTS, or otherwise ETH could be accepted for advertising costs, then transferred into ALTS ourselves. A form of "buying shares of your own project back" is never a bad scheme in the long-term. This creates the necessary demand for the token to increase it's value, which otherwise at present clearly remains a 0.

I think there 0 possibility to list on major exchanges, it's also not what's need right now. For large exchanges, you need volume. There has been 0 volume in the past 22 months as referenced, therefore also 0 need for larger exchanges. In the mid-term, I think DEX's are more than enough.

To put things into perspective, despite the lack of any volume and demand at present, ALTS would be ranked around 700 as a token at $1.2 million market cap* if listed, based on it's total supply of 10m . Even if only around 3% of the supply at present is "liquid" it seems, ie not held by project/admin.

*This is based on my transaction clearing to move the price back upto 0.0002 ETH

I agree with you, there is no possibility of getting listed on the big exchanges. Because additional fee is required. So I think it's better to try to get our huge community token listed on a big exchange.

Any good would be better if listed on a Dex. I support Uniswap. I can give an opinion, but the decision is up to the admin. The admin will probably think of something better.

Indeed, the fee for larger exchanges wouldn't be worth it based on the lack of volume. I also agree Uniswap or other newer Dex's would be great in the long-term to have ALTS listed on. But first, we do need to create the demand, such as from advertising revenue or otherwise. Good things takes time.

My transaction to buy 11 more ALTS at 0.0002 ETH ($0.12) is still pending after 11 days but I have faith  :)

Maybe we can campaign ALTS as a coin that has many benefits, so now is the right time to attract a project to use ALTS for promotion here.

Are there many projects that are promoted on forum banners using ALTS? I think it will increase the popularity of ALTS in the future

As far as I and many other members understand, the benefits from ALTS are:
+ ALTS exists as a stake, allowing the owner to share the tokens that the forum receives from advertising partners;
+ When the demand for advertising on ALTS becomes larger, partners will buy ALTS to pay for advertising on the forum to receive discount. Thus, the price of ALTS in the market will increase.

At the moment, everything is still in the early stages, because the partners' advertising demand is not really great and it must be honest that the value of the tokens that members are sharing is not high. Perhaps this is due to a drop in the price of those tokens.
The ALTS token transaction volume is also very low, DragonOnCrypto has been experiencing that when trying to buy 11 ALTS :)

We have talked a lot about possible solutions but they are long-term solutions, I think at the moment, the forum can cooperate with a famous airdrop platform to help them gain access to forum members, then share a portion of those tokens that forum has to forum members
When members often receive token shares, they will want to own more ALTS :)
I think that's one of the ways we should try doing.

It develops very dynamically. So I would definitely pay attention to it, especially during a period of high drawdown.

Now this group of assets is really becoming popular and in demand.
It's a pity that it's hard to work with it every day, but during the ascent period you can get just an incredible income.

Currently, ALTS forum is conducting banner bidding in sections, and the only payment method is ALTS. This is expected to make our ALTS more valuable in the future.
With the forum's continued growth this year, I think ALTS is becoming an asset worth investing in.

There is no problem if you intend to stock up on altcoins; the most important thing is that you stock on proper altcoins; how do you find proper altcoins, visit coinmarketcap and coingecko; find the top altcoins; research about them, shortlist them; figure out their product and future then you can invest and stock it up. Remember to buy it low though.

I think wait until things start to decline. Because right now many coins have increased. So it will be difficult to determine which is the best choice. At least if the majority falls, it will be easier to observe which ones are still holding up. And that could be the best choice.

Re: Should we be stocking up on ALTS?

As far as I and many other members understand, the benefits from ALTS are:
+ ALTS exists as a stake, allowing the owner to share the tokens that the forum receives from advertising partners;

I think that's one of the ways we should try doing.

value shared with members ?????

Are there any special requirements to be able to get ALTS for free from the forum or have to buy?
if I buy where can I get it

Now you can try to buy fundamental altcoins such as Ether, Polkadot, Atom, Near, but it is better to keep most of the money in Bitcoin
