Well, this is not true to be precise. Altcoins are falling while Bitcoin is falling, that's all. So, if Bitcoin rises in 2020 (as it is mostly speculated) then altcoins will rise too. Some altcoins are pretty promising in my opinion, for example ETH. Sometimes I buy/trade them because on my exchange (CoinDeal) many of cryptocurrencies are available. And I don't consider buying altcoins as not profitable at all.

well the factor that the altcoins fell is that the bitcoin is pumping. It has a side effect on the value based on satoshis of a coin.
