Most of cryptocurrency in the Market are subjected to high volatility due to its unusual fluctuation, even the top cryptocurrency coins like Bitcoin,Ethereum XRP are also unstable in terms of fluctuation, But in some other form like Stablecoins is also a cryptocurrency but the differences is it was back by a stable asset like fiat (US$ Dollar) or even Gold. most of the price of stablecoins are pegged with its backing assets. that's why it remains stable in value overtime.

Maybe what is meant by the OP is the Price of Cryptocurrency Stable as it used to be in 2017, when the prices of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency go up high.  So he said he had held a handful of coins but the price did not go up, or even the project he was involved in had disappeared without news. This is the risk of the Cryptocurrency business, if we don't make a profit then we will lose.  So before we go inside we must be prepared with these risks.

Lol. You are right, we have already had some crypto coins with quite stable value. Just take a look at USDT or USDC. They are stable coins as far as I know. For other crypto coins, they have volatile and unstable prices, it seems they won't be stable forever.

Tether and other types of stable coins, this is just a virtually digitized ordinary currency and therefore stable coins can not be attributed to the usual decentralized cryptocurrency.
A decentralized cryptocurrency will never really be stable in its price, since its price is based only on the ratio of supply and demand. Stable coins, by their nature, must always have the price of the ordinary currency with which they are provided.

For me cryptocurrency means blockchain-based.
This is the most general definition of cryptocurrency and I think we should stick to that, otherwise everyone will start building his own definition of the word "cryptocurrency", according to the criteria that for him are the most important.

A cryptocurrency is a currency that uses blockchain,
i.e. a currency which benefits of all features offered by this technology, in particular:

1. Greater transparency
2. Enhanced security
3. Improved traceability
4. Increased efficiency and speed
5. Reduced costs

You can distinguish cryptocurrencies according to many criteria.
Being decentralised or not, in my view is only one of them.

If you want crypto to be stable invest in stablecoins, there's no better advice from me to you. Volatility is what makes cryptocurrency so attractive for the investors who want to get profit from it. BTW, I don't understand how your thread title is related to the information you give in it haha

Agree. Why don't just invest in stable coins if he prefers to choose coins with stable values? We have already some stable coins, and those are popular enough among crypto traders/investors. Regarding volatility, I can say "yes", it makes crypto investment be interesting and has chance to gain big profits.
