There was published an interview with Cartesi project adviser Sergey Popov. He talks about his acquaintance with the world of cryptocurrencies and how the idea of ​​creating Cartesi came about. According to him, initially the project was conceived as  trustless marketplace for data scientists, but then the creators of the project came to the conclusion that the being developed technology will be able to solve a wider range of tasks. The Cartesi environment will allow even non-blockchain developers to create their decentralized applications that will be compatible with other blockchains.
