There were a number of reasons contributing to bitcoin's ATH in 2017, not just its halving. It's misleading in cryptocurrency to follow old patterns. Remembering last year's LTC halving, everyone expected a boost in price but no, it increased just a little bit. To me I only expect a surge in bitcoin's price on this halving. Of course, if a new ATH achieved, everyone would be blessed.
