« on: January 22, 2020, 02:09:56 PM »

A group of Central Banks consisting of financial regulators from Japan, Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Sweden and the European Union will study national cryptocurrencies. The Bank for international settlements is also involved in the project.

The purpose of this initiative is to share the experience that Central Banks already have as a result of studying national cryptocurrencies and evaluating the prospects for their launch. Options for using such digital assets will be considered, primarily at the international level.
