1. You can just go to google and search for the definition. It really doesn't have to have personal meanings.
2. Since cryptocurrency (except stable coins) value is volatile, you can make money and lose money at the same time if you trade and/or invest in it. That should be pretty obvious by now.
3. You can rephrase the question to make it more clear. Cryptocurrency isn't a field. Blockchain development and crypto trading/investment are fields.

For me, cryptocurrencies are at the same time a new digital payment system without the participation of banks and a new opportunity to earn money without any investments. I consider cryptocurrency a part of the future economy and try to carefully study all the nuances.

Honestly when the first time I came in this industry all I was after is for the money to gain profit, which is become true in 2017, But it was reverse in 2018 -2019 bearish market condition because I'm losing mostly half of my invested money in crypto and to save the half of it I dumped all my altcoin holdings and converted it into a more stable value coin like bitcoin. that was my ultimate purpose why I'm here in the crypto industry to earn money for my needs.

In my view about cryptocurrency is a global digital currency that can be exchange to any currency and you can use it to pay for goods and services in any part of the world crypto is accepted, and one can actually earn cryptocurrency by doing some crypto task.
