美国司法部指控 Backpage.com 通过数字货币洗钱超过 5 亿美元

美国司法部 DOJ 宣布上周五关闭上市网站 Backpage.com，该网站通过数字货币洗钱，连同卖淫等相关事项涉案金额超过 5 亿美元。联邦调查局的起诉书中明确指出，被告为了隐瞒他们的不当行为并逃避监管，将客户的付款转换为数字货币。据悉，Visa 和 Mastercard 在 2015 年开始停止处理 Backpage 的交易，比特币支付成为该公司可用的少数支付方式之一。
