This is quite expected since DeFi is not really that an old man and there is no massive educational movement explaining to people the many benefits and advantages of the DeFi trend. Anyway, I am sure that soon many more people will be exposed to this whole beast and people will realize that this is a now a big elephant ready to explore and be sharing what can be in store for them.

I think the reason for this is because DeFi has not yet reached its full popularity and full form in the economy. We have just explored DeFi's loan & loan application, we cannot invest in stocks, pledge assets or use crypto as often as we do with fiat.
Many people see DeFi as a money-making trend of 2020 in the crypto field, they don't even want to learn the true nature and value of DeFi.
DeFi is still just a new seed to sprout, it takes more time for the community to know that it is a tall and healthy tree.

Not just blockfolio, I think for now lots of crypto enthusiasts don't have any idea about defi project yet, although the buzz about it keeps growing so definitely sooner than later more people will know about defi project, it seems 2020 is the year of defi and many people will ride it to the top.
