The bad news seems to be out of the way and cryptos are recovering although whether they reach last year's high is speculative.

Yes you are completely right about this, investors are affected about this negative news about crypto currency especially bitcoin that is why the current price goes down because of this. But in my opinion there is some factors that can also affect the price down of bitcoin, the trading strategy of the big investors most likely whales in bitcoin. They sell out their fundings because of the last years price hike that almost reach $20k, all holders of bitcoins that has huge amount of bitcoin sell out and gain huge profit (probably millions of dollars), so obviously the demand of bitcoin decreases and around mid january this year bitcoins price started to go down, thats why it drop down to $6k+, but i know this whales has something in their pockets and buy it again maybe Q3 this year, im sure it will hit again maybe $25k this year or even $30k. This is only my opinion and comments.
