目前数字资产在支付场景里较大的痛点在于不同币种价格浮动，换算不方便。9月7日，yearn.finance创始人Andre Cronje发推表示，“USDC和USDT将很快在第二层（L2）提供。这将允许无拥塞地转移USDC和USDT。如果你用USDC和USDT付款，这是很好的。根据我的经验，USDT和USDC是贸易工具。不是货币。到底有多少会转移到L2？”

DeFi分析师Chris Blec评论称，“支付是一个强大的用例。L2提供这些东西的问题是，它给TetherCentre提供了一种更简单的方法来强制遵守法规，也就是快速和免费的L2钱包需要进行KYC。”
