The ethereum network now has a scalability of about 15 transactions per second, while bitcoin has about seven transactions. With the lowest bandwidth, Bitcoin is nevertheless considered the leader in cryptocurrency.
The low scalability of ethereum is a major obstacle to the further development of this network. I don't think we won't see an increase in ethereum scalability after the implementation of the Ethereum 2.0 improvements. These improvements are already being tested and, according to Buterin, even at the initial stage, ethereum's scalability will reach one thousand transactions per second, and in a few years, even up to one hundred thousand transactions per second. Anyway, soon we will see an updated ethereum and its bandwidth will increase dramatically.
