It's not just you mate I believe they are alot of people who see Bitcoin as an investment asset and not for the payment network, I guess why it's no longer used for the payment network is because of the time it takes for transactions to process and cost of transaction they are other crypto currencies that are good for payment purposes which are tron, Ltc, xrp etc, and I think bitcoin is definitely good to hold onto as a long term investment asset.

Honestly, many people including me is looking at Bitcoin more as an investment asset (which we are wishing can be rising up all the time though this is impossible) more than a payment network and that is the reason why we are holding on to it and will not be moving no matter what.

Since we are thinking more like an investor rather than as a consumer,  should we then look at Bitcoin as a long-term investment just like getting into real estate? And how long is the long-term here, 5 years, 10 years?

what you are saying is not like the fact that the ones who experience profits are companies, big traders because they really hold a lot of bitcoins and you see there is no cheer from the others because the increase in bitcoin because it does not affect the increase altcoins,  where that many are holding it. what is clear is that many bounties have not experienced an increase in price from the increase in bitcoin, which is actually very much awaited.

Risky time to buy or sell if you have BTC just hold it few years in a wallet or stake it. We will have a lot of volatility because of governments trying to fight against crypto and mass manipulation against crypto. You sell now,big boys buy and sell later for more $$$. HODL! My Hodl is for 3 years.
