Bitcoin As Long Term Investment?
« on: October 18, 2020, 05:31:22 AM »

Honestly, many people including me is looking at Bitcoin more as an investment asset (which we are wishing can be rising up all the time though this is impossible) more than a payment network and that is the reason why we are holding on to it and will not be moving no matter what.

Since we are thinking more like an investor rather than as a consumer,  should we then look at Bitcoin as a long-term investment just like getting into real estate? And how long is the long-term here, 5 years, 10 years?

indeed we know that so far bitcoin has the connotation of a long-term investment just like you say like property, but in recent months there have been significant changes that bitcoin has begun to explore for short-term investments.
several times bitcoin rose to $ 12K + but not long after it fell in the range of $ 9K- $ 10K +, this happened continuously and several times, and will likely also happen again until the end of the year before it settles for a fixed price.

You could say Bitcoin will be able to go up in price and be able to surpass the sale of real estate prices but unfortunately if Bitcoin Dump then it is certain that the price will drop unbearably.
In various policies, Bitcoin cannot be equated with Real Estate or gold because its fluctuation has no clarity in a stable price.
retire and rest in peace

I don't think Bitcoin can be compared to real estate like that. That said, I do think it is a good long term investment, as long as you don't put all your eggs in one basket.

In recent months it is not as usual that bitcoin has become a short-term investment, because it has decreased several times and rose again in just a few days, obviously this is surprising because it doesn't usually happen like this.
whoever was ready at that time would certainly enjoy a sizable profit and there were still two months left and it could happen again.

In recent months, a lot of institutional investors have chosen to invest their millions of dollars in buying bitcoin. This means that they believed BTC and decided to keep some of their funds in bitcoins.

bitcoin is very suitable if used as a long-term investment because I see the great potential of bitcoin and we must be able to use it well.

Bitcoin is a valuable crypto that even the poorest one has a chance to become millionaire. It's volatility is something that we shouldn't afraid off but rather the thing that we have to be thankful. Why? Because even there were times of bad days in it still the chance to regain the lost never disappear.

I think plenty of people look at Bitcoin in this manner. The question is when to invest initially.

Btc is a potential investment options to any investors that want venture into crypto business. Btc has the capacity to bring huge return on investment. Many investors who had invested few years ago had reap good returns and I think that Bitcoin is still an investment opportunity that will boost anyone's income.

Long or near term as long as bitcoin investors have full confidence in the profits that will be obtained. then the decision is up to the investor. But in my opinion as long as we can manage and monitor the development of bitcoin it will be even better. Because there are times when we can buy and sell them if we make a profit.

Should we then look at Bitcoin as a long-term investment just like getting into real estate? And how long is the long-term here, 5 years, 10 years?
The price of Bitcoin can change drastically in a few months, so don't make it into how many years, ideally we have to invest in Bitcoin.  Just look at the change in price, if there we have gotten a big profit, just sell it and wait for the price to go down to buy it again.

Yes we are. But knowing how long we keep holding bitcoin is just a matter of personal decision. You have to understand that we are always aiming for profit so better to set your own price highest pick as a bitcoin holder and if btc reached that point that would be the final day for your most awaited moment.

You can't compare Bitcoin with any real assets like gold, realestate etc as Bitcoin is not asset. There can be two types of investment short term and long term. You can invest your half capital in Bitcoin for short term investment which can be called short trade and half for long term investment. This strategy basically i follow from the beginning of involvement in crypto.

As a rule, we get losses because of our greed, when we want to sell more expensive, and the price goes the other way against us. But if you are not a trader, but an investor, then you do not need to pay attention to the price change.
