Hurtful to received negative karma without spamming or valid reason.
Joyful to received positive karma within a quality posts.

Yes, I think members from higher rank only can send karma. So you need to rank up before sending karma. But I am not sure it will be available from member rank or full member rank.

Yes, it is necessary to rank to send karma. Only active and higher rank members can send karma to others.

If you're karma because you don't like a person's opinion, that's wrong.

Indeed, giving negative karma to someone just because you don't like his opinion, is the wrong way. Everyone has their right to express won opinion and we cannot make all people agree with our idea. Admin has clearly stated the criteria to give negative karma to someone. There is no something like giving negative karma because of having a different opinion with others.

When you will get Negative Karma:

1. Posting in wrong section.
2. Being aggressive, or impolite without any reason.
3. Trying to spam your referral link or your website.
4. Plagiarism and shilling in the wrong section

Therefore, I believe that you cannot give negative karma for a statement you do not like on this forum.  We all here have the right to speak out and the right to criticize certain facts and events.  It is necessary to punish with negative karma for gross intentional violations of the rules of this forum, and even then not in all cases.

You make a good point but as the OP said people still need to be mindful of what they post lkn here in other to received negative karma without spamming or any valid reason.
With that been said, i think the forum moderator need to set something like a poll which will take about 3 vote before a negative karma giving to a user will be valid or the moderators should always do some review of very negative karma so that people wont abuse negative karma system and to give everyone the freedom of speech.

Yes i think so. If you write quality full post then you will get positive karma or if you do it opposite then you will also get negative karma.
