I'm bit behind the recent EPL affairs but just learnt about Chelsea's new manager.
Replacing Pochettino with Maresca is a weird move given it was Pochettino's first year with the club and he had a really good end of the season, indicating that things were starting to work out. I'd understand if Chelsea managed to secure a contract with some high-profile manager, but Maresca is not one of them. He's only success was to lead Leicester to the Premier League.
This is indeed a controversial decision and many parties actually doubt this decision. Because if you look at his experience, Pochettino definitely makes more sense than Maresca. but that has all happened. Yes, we just have to see how it turns out, whether Chelsea's decision is correct or again they fail like before when choosing various players.
Oh yes, regarding their new players, Chelsea seems to be even more selective in choosing several players. So far, there have been many rumors regarding Chelsea's interest in several attacking players or main strikers to strengthen their attack line, which in fact has been very poor so far. Several big names such as Alvarez, Sesko, Osimhen cannot be separated from Chelsea's monitoring. It's just that recently, Chelsea has been eye-catching for Alvarez and Sesko. It's just that it's not easy for competitors to get them because there are several other big clubs that are rumored to also be affiliated with them. And of course their home club will ask for a high price to release the player.
