Slot's best bet is to go with current squad Liverpool have, they were able to keep their all their important players including Salah, and this is a squad with which they have all the quality in almost every position, last season just happened to have ended the worse way for them very close to the end of the season. Well, from their performance in the pre-season so far I think their's a tendency for them to do well in the upcoming season, I observed their new coaches pattern and I've come to a conclusion that his tactics is total different from Jurgen Klopp's, they're getting their passes accurately and their touch on  the oppositions final third is something I'm really impressed about, if you watch their match against united you'll see that they were very comfortable with the ball and confused United with passes, most of their goals were from tap ins which shows that they're operating more from the flanks instead of utilitising the centre forward more, well going into the season I don't know if such tactics would work when they face a more defensive team but then if it works I think Jurgen kloop would be proud of himself for leaving them in safe hands, as for adaptation I think Liverpool have used the pre-season to adapt to Slot's tactics and they need to be consistent in with it in the upcoming season.
