Given we have a break in league games for the international games and there are no games to discuss this weekend, I'll ask a different question: do you guys see any potential dark horse this season, i.e. a team that people do not expect too much from, but can turn up surprising everyone e.g. by ending up in the top 4 etc?
Could Brighton be such a team? So far, they recorded an easy win over Everton, a win against Man United and scored a point against Arsenal in an away game, which currently places them in the 3rd place. They also crushed Crawley Town (a League One team) 4-0 in an EFL Cup game.
Their manager, Fabian Hurzeler, got nominated for the Manager of the Month award.
I think Brighton could be surprise team this season. They have had some great results so far like beating Everton and Manchester United and even drawing with Arsenal when they played away. This has put them in third place which is great start. They also won easily against Crawley Town in EFL Cup which is another good sign.
Their manager Fabian Hurzeler has even been nominated for award which shows he is doing great job. It is still early in season but Brighton is off to strong start and they might even finish in top four which would be surprise to many.
We are still in the early start of the season to give this kind of answer. However, from what I know best about Brighton, they always give a fantastic start at the beginning of every season, maybe towards a few months to the end of the season, their performance will begin to decline. Which can push them to an 8th-11th spot on the PL table.
I think it's gonna be a hard job for Brighton to reach the top four position. The 1st to 3rd spot of the PL table remains the same clubs we know of (Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, or any other top clubs but not Brighton will take the 4th spot).
