I think the European competition actually brings different top teams together, and gives us a glimpse of how tough/competitive each leagues can be. Take Serie A and Premier League for example, we all can easily agree that the English premier league is more competitive, but when these two sides meet in a European competition, the reverse becomes the case most times.

You are quite correct because when teams play in the Champions League and Europa League, it is assumed that they are playing against the best teams from other leagues. Which is not always easy to win matches in those leagues tournament because a top team in a domestic league can lose a match in Champions League or Europa, while they are formidable in their domestic league

Aston Villa have downtrend performance recently and have three consecutives loss all competition since EFL Cup, Premier League match and UEFA Champion League match. I think last several matches not performed well of Aston Villa because last winning match in domestic league when defeating Crystal Palace over 3-1 Octover 19.

Not just three defeats but four consecutive defeats ans it is the first time it has happened in the history of City since Pep tool ovee as manager. Manchester City will do better to get back to their winning ways, when will that be? Because it's like they are having a decline in performance every week. The Manchester City team we knew before, which wins matches all the time is not finding its feet strong in the Premier League and Champions League matches. However, it's time for Pep Guardiola to restrategize his team players because since Rodri, Stones, and Kelvin De Bruyne had injuries, the team formation has not been the same. Overall in all leagues, this is Man City's 4th consecutive defeat, both in the EPL, EFL, and also the UCL. This is certainly painful for Man City. Man City is not that weak, but there is something wrong with them. Pep is responsible for all of this, but from match to match, the conditions have not changed much. There is something missing in the course of the match. Man City's defense must be improved and strengthened again, Haaland is still quite good at contributing his goals, it's just not as much as at the beginning of the season.
