Any thoughts on Arsenal losing the 1 leg EFL cup semi-final game to Newcastle 0-2 in front of their own audience? Is it because they didn't take it seriously (they had some players from the bench) or is Newcastle just overall a better team recently.
I know the EFL cup is not a priority for the top Premier League clubs, but it would be strange to get this far to just drop out without a fight.
Meanwhile, Tottenham just took a 1-0 lead against Liverpool in today's game.
Honestly, this is quite a surprising result. Even though Arsenal played very optimally, dominantly, and also had extraordinary attacks. They launched 23 shots. However, it was not accurate enough and there were only 3 shots on target. How bad their front line was during that match. So that even 1 goal was not created.
And on the other hand, Newcastle played very effectively. They lacked dominance but were able to take advantage of counter-attack opportunities and it was very successful. They only needed 7 shots and 4 became shots on target, and 2 became goals. This was very effective and accurate.
Well, now Tottenham is playing against Liverpool. Until the 87th minute, Tottenham leading 1 - 0.
