I just watched the highlights of yesterday's EFL Cup semi-final between Newcastle and Arsenal. I couldn't believe that virtually the same team that defeated Man City 5-1 last weekend could play so poorly. They might have dominated in possession but couldn't create any proper scoring chances, unlike Newcastle. Maybe it's just that, after losing the first goal, they had lost all hope as it was 3-0 for Newcastle on aggregate. Or maybe they just don't perform that well in away games. I don't know.

Anyhow, Liverpool delivered and avenged their first-leg 0-1 defeat to Tottenham and won 4-0. So we'll see Newcastle Vs Liverpool in the final. It could be interesting.

Liverpool were really lucky too because after losing Klopp they immediately found a replacement who was truly suitable and could continue Klopp's performance at Liverpool and make Liverpool even better. I never thought Liverpool would be this great this season. And regarding Gakpo, this player looks like he will finally get his glory this season with Liverpool. Because even now Gakpo is also the top scorer in the Carabao Cup.

In the first game of the 4th round of the FA Cup, Man United defeated Leicester 2-1 at Old Trafford.
A win is a win, but the style was not quite what you would expect. Man United conceded a goal in the first half, scored an equaliser in the 68th minute and the winning goal in the additional time. It's pretty clear that Amorim has still a lot of work to do with the club.

Meanwhile, Man City are losing 1-0 to Leyton Orient after Ortega's own goal. Leyton Orient is a club from Football League One. It's not a good look, but there's still plenty of time left.
