Nice win for Newcastle yesterday as to got all three points away from home with a 0:1 win against Westham this win is a crucial  one for Newcastle as it as taken them to 6th place on the premier League table two places away from the top four spots, I really expected Newcastle to get this win because they needed the win badly due to the fact that the season is gradually coming to an end so every win and points matters a lot moving forward Newcastle has to maintain this form if they are to make it to the top four finish. But for Westham this is not a good result for them as their struggling season continues

The match Man United vs Arsenal was over. The result was a draw, Man United 1 vs 1 Arsenal. Although Arsenal has no pure striker, they still dominated the match. They almost made 70% ball possession, they made 17 shots. Meanwhile Man United only made 10 shots. However, it was not a very bad result for Arsenal although it makes Arsenal point is getting far from Liverpool point. Sure, Liverpool point is 70, Arsenal point is 55. It is simply no way for Arsenal to catch Liverpool.  :D
But it is still quite disappointing to see Arsenal continue to fail to get full points in the last 3 matches in the Premier League. Meanwhile, for Man United, it seems like holding Arsenal to a draw is already quite a good achievement. And it must be admitted that MU improved slightly in that match. Where the effectiveness of their attacks has slightly improved. Even though their overall performance was still poor, however, being able to hold Arsenal to a draw was still an achievement for them.
United attack was bad in that match if not they should have scored more goals because they had good opportunities. It was only their defense that was good because they played a defensive game and relied mainly on counter attacks. If not for Fernandez free kick, I wonder how Manchester United would have been able to score.

We have a half-time in Liverpool Vs PSG.
The French team scored one in the 12th and we now have a 1-1 draw on aggregate.
The truth is, the 1st leg game was an undeserved win by Liverpool, where they only had 2 shots on goal and one on target, with possession of only 29%. Tonight is a bit of a different story. Liverpool dominates in possession (slightly but still) and made 10 shots in the first half alone, but despite that, they conceded a goal and are losing. If Liverpool wants to go through to the next stage, they should press harder. Living it to the penalty shootout may not be a good idea.

The most exciting match of the next weekend round surely has to be the London Derby, Arsenal Vs Chelsea.
Arsenal is the favourite, the odds for them are x1.80, as compared to Chelsea's x4.33.
In their last game, Arsenal split points with Man United, which was a bit weird game where Arsenal controlled the game with almost 70% possession and had many more shots on goal but, I think United had much better chances and should've probably won that one.
Chelsea won their last two games and have much more at stake here. If they lose, they could move from their current 4th place to even 6th place. But if they win, they could advance to the 3rd place should Nottm Forest lose points against Ipswich. Arsenal has no realistic chances to catch up with Liverpool, as they're 15 points behind (with one less game played).
Maybe a double-chance bet on Chelsea (at x1.88) is not a bad idea.

Paris Saint-Germain finally managed to turn things around and now they are the ones who have qualified for the next round. I must say that they deserved to go further because in terms of the game in the 2 legs, they were better than Liverpool.
Liverpool lost their touch, especially in the first leg and finally their nightmare happened in the second leg after Paris Saint-Germain managed to score a goal. Honestly when they entered the extra time, I was pretty sure Paris Saint-Germain could win on penalties and that happened.

And the fans will say...we'll be back again next season.
Next season is still a contender. When will this club lift the title?
At least it's a level up to 'they will come back more mature next season' ;D It's what they used to say when most of their squad were still youngsters like Fabregas and Van Persie.

Once again... Evra is right. lol
Arsenal fans stay humble or they always do too much, they are surprising me these days. :)
This is so funny. Whenever results don't go their way they'll always have something to blame, the referee, the ball, the pitch, anything just to find an excuse.
If my club had zero UCL, I'd always bow my head and not troll clubs

The level of confidence that PSG had in that first leg was really huge, and that paved way for the players to believe they could go all the way to get a win at Anfield, they carried the same momentum and energy from the first leg over into the tie, then it was all about them getting an opportunity to win the game which they did. Usually, other club often get bullied at Anfield with crowd, often call their 12th player. PSG did earn and deserve their victory.

Its funny joke for Arsenal's fans have zero  UCL champion league trophy and have been twenty years more without winning yet the domestic league tittle or Premier League. I don't think surprising when Arsenal success defeating PSV at first leg match with bigger score but if qualifying to quarter final round have to face top opponent teams between Madrid or Atletico.
Arsenal have difficult for winning premier league this season after 15 points remaining from Liverpool, however after eliminating at Champion League make The Kop focus for winning premier league and seems small chance for Arsenal removing Liverpool from the top standings.

Chelsea making things harder for themselves after that penalty miss (Cole Palmer's streak also ended with that). They better get this opportunity to extend their lead over City for the last place in the CL qualification. It would be more shameful for them if Leicester wins by a late goal just like what Forest did to City.

Chelsea were able to turned things around in the second half by a narrow win. Thanks to Cucurella scored the winning goal for Chelsea in 60 minutes of the game, it would be very shameful if Chelsea concede a goal against Leicester because the visitors has been struggling to escape the relegation zone but it obvious that Leicester will go back to where they got promoted last season.

Palmer missed a first penalty on his career and I don’t think he should feel bad about that, it was also part of football. Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi who are football legends missed a penalty during their career, Palmer must learn from his mistakes to ensure he does not miss the next penalty he takes for Chelsea.

Going to the champions League I don't see arsenal going after the last eight because between Madrid or ATM I don't see arsenal beating any of these teams

After winning 3-0 with Club Brugge (aggregate 6-1) Aston Villa is the 2nd club (after Arsenal) to advance to the quarterfinals stage of the Champions League. And I would risk saying they have better chances of winning the trophy than Arsenal do, as they are playing against PSG, while Arsenal have a tougher rival, Real Madrid, who defeated Atletico in penalties just now.

Deserved to win, yes that is the right word for them, even in the first leg they actually deserved to win, but this time luck was not on their side so they had to lose in a painful way.

From here we learn that surprises can happen anytime and to any team and Liverpool one of the biggest favorites had to accept the bitter reality that they lost to Paris Saint Germain.

I totally agree. I was thrilled to see Arsenal smash PSV and march into the Champions League quarter-finals but this season is not for Arsenal, not in the Premier League or UCL.
People are treating the game Arsenal against Madrid like just another day in the office for Real Madrid.
However, I hope Arteta puts up a proper fight against Madrid

This is arsenal has not been lucky because lossing out the premier League race to Liverpool and having a convincing win over PSV in the round of sixteen only to be paired up against champions League holders Madrid is not a fair one for this arsenal side that is still struggling to find their form this season so far, the champions League title was the only trophy hope that was left for arsenal but coming up against Madrid is not a good one for arsenal because Madrid is one team that does not take the champions League for granted and so the probability of arsenal getting a win in the two legs over Madrid is 20/100 . Because the class of these two teams are totally different because as far as football is concerned arsenal is still learning where madrid is especially in this form that Madrid finds itself arsenal has to re- strata size and come back next season

And I would risk saying they have better chances of winning the trophy than Arsenal do, as they are playing against PSG, while Arsenal have a tougher rival, Real Madrid, who defeated Atletico in penalties just now.
PSG is a tough opponent as they got rid of Liverpool in the previous round and now meeting Aston Villa is a tough task for Unai. But however Aston Villa seems to be ready to face any opponent.
Arsenal had a much tougher time with Real Madrid, but they managed to qualify because the opponent PSV this time might be quite different.
