It's not like Arsenal can get all the best players anytime they want. They have to compete with a lot of teams that have more money and have better chances of winning a trophy. It's not simply splashing money thinking the best ones would line up willing to sign with them.

They can get any player they want, they are not broke in fact they are richer than some of this clubs that are not performing well like them and they are doing better than them financially, it's only because they don't want to, I wouldn't say they are greedy but there is this altitude Arsenal have for not spending thousands of dollars on players.

The way they have improve in the table in the last 3 years, I don't know whether it's Arteta that is not bidding for high performing players, but I think they would have win the Premier League if they do that like other teams does in every season of transfer.

I doubt Arteta has something to do with the bidding of players. He and the scouting team can select players they want to recruit but it's the people in office that does the bidding. They get outbid or if they outbid others, it's the top tier player/s that doesn't want them. Like I said, it's not just about the money for these top players. They also want to collect trophies and build their own legacy and what better way to do that than picking a team that's already built to compete. That's like the trend or mindset right now.

That was crap again - a shell of the team we used to be.
The players don't seem to train well, they don't even spend time with each other, and there's no sense of community.
There are nine games until the end of the season, they have a tough game.
The race to qualify for the Champions League will go to the end but with results and performances like that, I doubt City will reach the top four.

Yeah, that's one thing that happens even to the best of teams or individual athletes. The hunger isn't the same anymore when you've been winning for the longest time and breaking records. After taking their most sought CL trophy, they must have thought the job is already done.

The dip in performance was bound to happen; it would have been fantasy to think that they will continue dominating the Premier League. It is just unfortunate for Pep that he is still at the club and will be the one to have the responsibility of rebuilding this team.

I don’t think the first statement should still remain valid, because Guardiola have literally dominated EPL for long enough, during the tenure of Man City’s domination, no other league in the top 6 leagues across Europe was dominated more.

Man City are a huge mess right now, but that is not a testament of the EPL being highly competitive, that’s why Liverpool is literally running away with the title this season.

You're right because Manchester City as a club has dominated the premier League for a while now so in terms of the players they have gotten used to winning the league and no thanks to injuries this season city has been struggling seriously to find their form I think city should bring in new players with hunger and zeal to play in the team team

The main problem of Arsenal is that they prefer to groom players on their own, to the style of play they want the player to display. Asking them to pay huge sums of money for any player, is what they feel hard to do because they know that after buying you they still have to train you to be the player they want you to become for them.

Let's see whether they will take another approach in acquiring players. To go for the expensive ones and re-strategize their patterns to have a tough striker like Osimhen to boost their frontline

Man City needs new players to return their good performance. The defense line should be the focus to rebuild for the next season. There's a big chance Chelsea will be losing points tomorrow, as they're playing away against Arsenal, but Man City didn't use this opportunity to get to the Champions League zone (the top 4) of the table.
They split points with Brighton at home as the game ended with 2-2. It was a fun one to watch with both teams having multiple great scoring opportunities, but I expected the City to be much more dominant. That just wasn't the case and it looked like a clash between teams on the same skill level.

Another good performance by Nottm Forest. They tend to struggle when playing with higher-rated clubs but are consistent in winning with the weaker ones, and this pays off with them sitting comfortably in the 3rd place without much challenge from Chelsea and Man City. Who knows, if everything goes right for them, Forest could even end up at number 2.

That's what I think too, even though they were previously very extraordinary when they were able to defend the title for 4 seasons in a row. This season is no longer on their side because they have had so many problems.

But next season they can get a bigger chance, who knows they will find their best form again like before. We'll see next season.
