Bitcoin has seen extremely volatile peaks and troughs in its time. Its last peak was near $14,000 in June of 2019. Since there are only 21 million Bitcoins in total, there is less circulation of the market currency as the reward decreases. And as more people become aware of the asset's scarcity, more demand rises, resulting in a higher price. Cryptocurrency rose by more than 6% against the dollar amid growing interest from big investment companies.
