ETH worth 500$ now, will it pump more with ETH 2.0 launch?

Bitcoin and Ethereum are going to the moon now, what do you think about near future? Will it repeat 2017 situation - pump until the end of the year and dump for the whole next year? I want to believe that they will reach new highs, but there is always a correction. In the ETH case it also a matter of trust and success of the ETH 2.0, which will surely influence ETH price in general.

I think that the price of Ethereum and the price of Bitcoin will grow until the end of the year, so I expect that Bitcoin price will reach at least 20k$, and Ethereum price should reach 600$, but at the beginning of next year there will be correction and after this correction immediately in 2021 a new pump will begin and Bitcoin with Ethereum will begin to reach new heights.

I see ETH pumping above the 500usd price mark. but due to the stifle competition from other smart contract platforms. Ethereum might not cross over to 1000usd. i doubt if ethereum will ever hit 1,000usd. but BTC  Will continue to move upward. it is possible to see BTC hit 50,000usd because there is no competition but i seriously doubt ethereum hitting 1000.

Just check ETH and BTC graphs - on December 16 2017, Bitcoins prices was almost as today, but on the same day ETH price was around 700 USD. Right now Ethereum still falls behind Bitcoin. And on the time when Bitcoin reaches ATH, Ethereum will still be in few steps to ATH.

I think it is different now Mate, as we see the market cap is slowly rising up, unlike in 2017-2018 that all was put up in short cuts that's why the correction is also short cuts But today only Bitcoin was gaining more traction in terms of price increase while the other top-ranking altcoins are slowly rising including Ethereum which is good because its an organic demand and not artificially induced like in 2017-2018 bullrun.
