As far as I know Nasdaq is an American stock exchange. It is not very well known all over the world. However, American users are very familiar. Plenty of these are traded on stock exchanges. Local stock exchanges in any country usually trade a lot. Since Nasdaq is a developed country stock exchange. Therefore, its popularity is many times higher. More advanced.
