I am expecting much lower transaction prices paired with improved confirmation speed ... If you dive in to the technical documentation you can read through all these planned upgrades unfortunately we are still a long way from there so as for now let the geeks focus on testing and tweeking

As I understand it, only the first stage of Ethereum 2.0 was launched and so so far we have not seen anything serious with changes in Ethereum technologies and capabilities, so we need to wait until all stages of Ethereum 2.0 will be fully launched and then we will see the changes.

Everyone is expecting to transfer with lower gas fees but if you read the details of Ethereum 2.0 roadmap. Phase 0 which is known as Beacon Chain which already started from 1st December and will continue until finish it. In this phase, only database of validators and transferring from PoW to PoS will be completed. Phase 2.0 will be basically for network upgrade which is called Shard Chains. It will increase scalability, transaction limit and security which will enhance the transactions and will help to reduce the transaction costs. Full results can be obtained from Ethereum 2.0 fully launched which may take 1 year or more.

Ethereum 2.0 improvements will be rolled out over two years. Now their zero phase has just begun. This is a lengthy process, so you shouldn't count on visible changes already in the first month of their launch. We need patience, scalability improvements and lower transaction fees for ethereum and the tokens running on her platform will certainly come.

as I know Ethereum divided into several phases, and the gas fee is not the main focus of the initial phase of Ethereum 2.0 roadmap,  I hopefully Ethereum 2.0 roadmap will be done 100%, and I know the progress need more time, need more patience, and need more support.

Gas fees is now a thorns of throat. Obviously, it needs more  patience and support for Dev team of Ethereum. To be successfully completed all phases of Ethereum 2.0, it may take more than 1 year until then we have to show patience and if possible to wait for lower gwei time to transfer or migrate from ERC20 to TRC20 or other way.

I agree that ethereum has started the eth 2.0 phase. Although the upgrade process has not been completed in its entirety, there is great hope that in the future ethereum will be more sophisticated and quick to respond to every transaction.

This change of name from Ethereum to Ethereum 2.0 doesn't have any meaning because I think it's normal, there is no change to the face of Ethereum.
But according to the system, Ethereum 2.0 is indeed very superior with a lot of features, even for sending coins, Ethereum is now able to send in a second it's around 12.6 Eth.

Its first phase of the upgrade has been completed and we are waiting for the 2nd one. After the 2nd upgrade, eth gas fees will be decreased. This will make the ethereum network more scalable. There was a lot of hype about it and it's visible in its current price.
