Yes, not all investors are lucky in investing in the crypto market, especially in the DeFi hype some time ago, quite a few investors lost their money due to scam projects. However, these things do not deter most crypto investors from continuing to invest in crypto platforms.

I strongly believed that everybody that has been involved in this crypto investment  both traders, investors and holders has been affected by scam projects, hacks and many other exploit been experience in the crypto world. Most major investors will failed to call out projects they have invested that has fall from hero to zero but will always promote those that gave them fortunes.

everyone of us has been affected but we will keep moving on until we are all successful.

I forget to count how many time i lost my money in various scam project. The most bigger one was 200$ in a project where i got confused when joining and ieo and sent my funds to a scammer wallet. There was a pool for sale and i sent my money in the wrong pool with a similar name with the real pool.

as long as people still enjoy investing in crypto, of course they will prepare themselves with things that may not be fun, because in crypto anything can happen and nothing is impossible.
Obviously I agree with you is the most painful thing that investing that we don't know is a scam and it's very painful. Every time a new system grows in crypto, especially when it is successful, there will be someone who misuses things to do project lies in order to make profits, so not only Defi, IEO, even ICOs, which are very successful for a long time, are also exposed to fraudulent projects.

Obviously, to attain something better out of this life we have to keep our spirits high and stay hopeful. It is normal to face scam or bad investments but we should have the strategy to cover the loss and risks and then move on quickly to better opportunities out there.
