I've heard about it but never tried to go there. Yeah, I have read on the forum that Bitcoin and other privacy coins are used to transact anything in the web like buying and paying of goods and services offered on dark web. That's the power of Bitcoin it can be used in secured transactions privately.

Hi guys. Have you heard about dark web? I am thinking that this illegal type of web in in the internet world is strengthen by the digital currency specially bitcoin and monero with regards to fund matters.

The dark web actually exists, it's a networking of illegal connections. In the dark web you can find people selling logins to paid applications, hacks, bots and cheats codes. Using the dark web is very dangerous because it's filled with cyber criminals and a lot of fraudulent people, accessing that website without proper firewall or security on your computer might give them access to everything you have even your bank account. Before making any deal that has to do with paying money to anyone on the dark web you have to be sure and knowledgeable of what you are doing so you won't be a victim. My best advice is don't even use the dark web at all

The DarkWeb story is a “perfect” example of how a perfectly good idea turns evil. The original idea was to create a space on the Internet that is not controlled by the state or other structures. But as it happens, any solution that gets into people's hands, even a solution that is meant to be beneficial, is soon used for evil. That's the way humanity works... unfortunately. Therefore, today DarkNet is not an “island of information freedom”, it is a segment of the network, mostly designed for illegal transactions.... In short, I don't recommend you to go there

Yeah exactly. Going there might get our security compromised because based on what others have told, it was totally different from the ordinary web because things are terrifying even the way they get access because they need to do something to make sure they are safe in and out. They say that things are crazy in the darkweb and for me I don't think I have plans to go there.

DarkWeb is nothing but a free marketplace with complete anonymity and if we see the cruel stuffs out there which is just basically the representation of the people who we live among. Darkweb is uncontrollable but it doesn't mean everyone visit there are part of illegal activities, I visited certain websites and there are some good things too like whole lot of books that you can never find in Google and something like that but if we have no idea what we want then we won't find any because finding the onion links of the websites are not easy peasy either.

When I got into crypro the silkroad was already closed and Ross was already sentenced. After Silkroad there was never a popular market anymore but there are few onion sites that comes up and people still trade BTC even when its traceable. I thinknthy are unaware about it.

One article I found saying Monero (XMR) is traceable. True?

Unfortunately the reality is somewhat different, although the original ideas were really about some kind of freedom. Like many other things in our life, when a solution is invented for the benefit of people, there are always people who use it for illegal purposes. And today there are only a fraction of a percent left of Dark Net, its “freedom”, and the rest has become part of the market selling illegal information.

Bitcoin, like most other cryptocurrencies, can be considered conditionally anonymous. There are many options for de-anonymizing transactions... It's not very easy, but it's possible.
Speaking of Monero - yes, there are several examples when, with a great desire, and its transactions were able to “disclose”

The dark web is where illegal things are happening this is not seen on the regular web like we used to browse now I know that they used cryptocurrency in their transactions because they can make the transaction hard to trace. it is so scary to think about it if true.

Yeah and I've heard this before I came here on the crypto world and what I've heard is more of a negative things rather than good. We are all fans of privacy but the privacy that was in that specific web is not for everyone and authorities are maybe monitoring who's goin in and out of that web because as you have said most if not all of the transactions in there based on what I also heard and read online are illegal so for us ordinary people we might get curious but goin in is I think not an option.

And authorities could actually do it if they would yet somehow those tech savvy guys who are doing all these illicit transactions are also finding ways to make them more anonymous.

Darkweb in my country I think is never needed, illegal stuff can be bought essy when you know the right guys in the neighborhood. You however will have problems when caught.

I'm just getting to know this for the first time, I didn't know the dark web was created for this purpose, I thought it was just a crowd of criminals coming together to develop the web space. Can anyone just access the dark web? Are there no restrictions to it? I also tell people that look for hacks and cheats on the dark net to be careful so they don't get scammed. These cyber criminals on that space are quite good at what they do, just a single information about you and they can hack into your bank account
