What is the future of the Dogecoin?

It is possible that Elon Musk provides an opportunity to accept transactions to purchase electric car products that he owns using Dogecoin payments. When that happens, it will increase the price of Dogecoin because a product owned by Elon Musk has an expensive price, whereas if payment uses Dogecoin, then they have to buy Dogecoin on the exchange, which will make the price rise.

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. It seems like all hopes in taking DOGE anywhere are on Elon, who treats it as a fun crypto and has no serious commitments.
I haven't heard anything about Tesla accepting DOGE, even if that's true, the pump that would follow would not be based on any fundamentals. There's no way Tesla would be keeping any reserves in DOGE. If they were to accept it, they'd be converting to USD at the moment of the purchase.

I've heard some rumours about X (formerly twitter) implementing some crypto-transactions, which could potentially include DOGE.

Since it's been a while since I have been following GOGE's affairs - does it have any active dev team supported by the community? Are there any projects going around or anything interesting in the pipeline?
Seems like sponsoring that Nascar car was DOGE's top highlight and despite having much larger number of owners, nobody comes up with any initiatives.

The answer is no. There is no one behind the wheel of Doge. For some time now, Doge has been a machine that works thanks to Musk's words on X, since the development of Doge was abandoned quite some time ago and it no longer receives updates or anything similar, there is also no #DevelopmentTeam  or anyone to finance it. The Doge community is waiting for what happens on X. The last thing I read about it is that Musk could add Doge as a payment method for the Blue subscription. But I don't know if Musk could do it for legal and regulatory reasons.

Unfortunately, that's precisely what everyone is waiting for: for Musk to step forward. Doge is abandoned, and dare I say abandoned because it seems like everyone is waiting to sell as soon as Musk does something. I agree I see no activity on Dogecoin GitHub page under Insight. The contributors' and devs' last activity is in 2022 of July and no activity for almost 1 &half years until now.
No new activity that makes us think that dogecoin been abandoned by the devs.

I understand what you're saying, but I mean something very different. In addition to the fact that there are no updates on GitHub or any type of development, people are waiting for Elon Musk. People have accepted that something will happen at some point so they can sell their coins. I'll sum it up with a question... Why should we do anything when Musk can raise the price (but not the value) with a single X post?. I think that's where the Doge community is at right now. Musk knows very well that many people are waiting for him, and he will take advantage of the moment that best suits him to act.

yeah I think it piggyback rode ltc for a long time,but mkners started to realize it won,t run out of rewards. Both LTC and BTC will run out of rewards down the road while Doge is a constant 10000 coins a block. Most people fail to understand that a c ok constant reward number also means a consistently shrinking  reward percent each year

Looking at this mate, you seems to be trusting this Coin that much as I have seen you posting about Doge and other altcoins constantly .

Now I am getting more interested in Dogecoin more than other altcoins because I wanted to have other coins in my folio now .
