DOT (top5 CMC) is a good choice, as it is token of Polkadot, the project leading the trend of cross-chain trading in 2021.
ChainLink's LINK (top7 CMC) also has potential as the community is focusing the trend of adopting blockchain on existing infrastructure of enterprise platforms.
I also like Cardano's ADA (top6 CMC), the main rival to Ethereum at the moment. The code of Dapps on Ethereum can now work perfectly on Cardano, DeFi projects are also looking to Cardano for their high speed and low transaction costs.

With the exception of Bitcoin and Etherium, as far as I know, Binance Coin is the most suitable for long-term investment.  I have already invested in Binance Coins.  There are some coins that are very useful for long term investment.  Polka Dot, Chain Link, Yearns Finance, Compound, Uni, and Sushi swap.  If you wish, you can invest in more deeply analyzed.

You're right.  Now in the cryptocurrency market there are a lot of DeFi projects with anonymous teams created only for profit and without a roadmap and whitepapper.  DeFi project should be chosen for long-term investment with an experienced and active #DevelopmentTeam .

Mate, I believe that in order to understand something you should start learning now by doing some important part of this industry which is doing research thought yourself something new about this industry that you want to get involved because cryptocurrency is not a typical kind of investment because its a highly volatile investment and the risk of losing money is high also thats why it's better to learn now. by the way, since you ask something which is the best cryptocurrency for long term investment. I might say that those platforms that have a solid team and with a working product that was already used in the real world.

There are lots of coin in crypto market which can be used for long term Investment and will surely fetch alot of profit, not all coins are good for holding because not all has good potentials, so for me I prefer choosing among the top 10 coins in CMC because those coins are good coins and has good potentials.
