Altcoin season officially confirmed

Altcoin season is a concept that is quite difficult to define clearly and I believe that everyone has their own opinion. We can determine the Altcoin season through BTCD or ALT/BTC rate. I found a website with an interesting definition of altcoin season: based on the increased performance of coin/token.

What is an Altcoin Season?
If 75% of the Top 50 coins performed better than Bitcoin over the last season (90 days) it is Altcoin Season.

As we can see, the value is currently up to 92, far exceeding the number of conditions of 75. That is, the altcoin season is going strong, only 8% of projects in the top 50 are up in price more slowly than BTC. Sad because they are all big projects: LTC, BCH, BSV, XMR.

How long do you think this altcoin season will last? Is this index attractive enough for you to join the altcoin market?

Good index, good screenshots to look at. I'm not sure how long the altcoin season continues, but now we've seen a lot of new projects and they are well priced in the market,
investors have a very high interest in altcoins because they want to buy and make a profit, we can see there are many new projects and now the NFT platform is getting more and more popular nowadays and I think the altcoin season will be longer than 2017-2018

Literally I have no idea how long the Alth season will last but I think it's gonna last long, the bull season is still up and doing, more project are launching and almost everything in the market is pumping so it will be beneficial investing on projects which are still growing or just launched because the outcome will surely be a blast.

Altcoin season depending with bitcoin, without any correction price from bitcoin I think have positive side and keep lightning way for altcoin raise to higher price, but if bitcoin correction like last night maybe altcoin not time for altcoin season. Now you can check and invest on altcoin during have lower price.

As for the projects that are slowly growing in price, this is not so much upsetting as it gives reason to think and reconsider your attitude to some of the top 100 projects. But even for those listed by MrSpasybo, the potential for growth has not yet dried up.

I also seeing some indication of altseason. As btc is stable for so many days the altcoins are traded by more and more people. This is helping to boost up the price of altcoins and having a positive impact on the market.

I have not seen such an indicator yet, thanks. For me, the altseason began after bitcoin broke through the $ 20k level and consolidated above it. I hope this alt season will last at least until December.

I am really chuffed to know alts are coming out of the shadow of bitcoin and standing on their own. Alts like Cardano, Ethereum, Tron are getting noticed by the institutional money and it is showing

We will see if this altseason already confirmed once it breaks into 50% Btc dominance right now I cant say its the real altseason or we can see a retest again at 60 and then failed then its real altseason right now its 57% BTCD so this is interesting when BTC did not break the last strong resistance which at 60k level then most traders will convert into altcoins starting a massive rally into alts.

There are a lot of indicators and criteria for us to get altcoin season status, BTCD is one of them, but I think this bullrun is different from 2017 bullrun, Bitcoin's position is too big and we cannot expect altcoin capitalization will easily surpass Bitcoin's capitalization.
Currently the total market cap has surpassed $2T but money can be seen flowing into altcoins instead of bitcoin.
I think the last 3 months and continuing for at least another 3-6 months altcoins will still be a better investment object than bitcoin.

Somehow I can never get used to the widespread opinion that the Bitcoin must fall in order for the Altcoins to grow. This BTC dominance was one of the indicators in 2017/2018, but it doesn't have to mean that we have to have something like that again so that Altcoins rise even more.
By the way, when I look at my orders and my portfolio, I have to say that the Altcoin season started for me in March 2020. And also the last 4 months have been so strong for alts that some projects have grown by over 1000%. Do you still expect 300-1000%?
When I think about it more deeply, it feels like selling Altcoins and putting everything in Bicoin, that would be the better alternative.
But are only fleeting thoughts

I hope the current altseason will last much longer than it was in 2017.  And we will see good profit from those projects in which we participate.

Altcoins season is actually still ongoing right now. We can see how many altcoins have been increasing so far with an incredible increase in percentage. ANd that will be still ongoing. So far, we may not know exactly how many altcoins will be increasing.BUt if it is an altcoin season, it will be more than 90% maybe?
