I think seeing the amount of coins allocated to the bounty is very important too.  I've seen some projects try to offer something trivial like .005% of the total tokens when on average it's usually 1-2% of the total tokens.  If there's a decent amount of the total tokens it's usually a good sign, in my humble opinion.
