Any airdrops that requires you to pay a fee for withdrawal purposes or otherwise is a scam and have no funds because I see no reasons why one would gather up a community  and then request for them to participate in their project publicity campaign and after that they tell them to get their wallets with a certain amount of Crypto, what for? If they can not be able to pay for gas fee then why gathering people to participate in their airdrop.

If I'm not mistaken LayerZero to claim this airdrop you have to prepare USDC in order to claim ZRO tokens, so indeed now many mechanisms have changed depending on the policies of the project itself how to claim the tokens.

So if what you mean is the claim process, then indeed now the community itself must prepare it, while the project very rarely finances the claim process itself.
As a participant in the airdrop always follow the rules.

I just feel sometimes projects does that to scare away participants who will think they are scam then the real participants who really know the worth of the project would not mind taking the risk to do accordingly as being instructed by the time in the laid down procedures for them.to claim their tokens or prize as the case may be.

Although I have had such experience in time past some I did and some I left thinking they were Scammers but the event turns out to be of good and the projects made waves. So requesting for participating members to equip themselves for gas fee depends on the project itself. If it happens that the project is a good one and possibly they have exhausted their funds and have nothing much left for gas fee , that is understandable and there are people who would pay their gass fee for withdrawal and.lots more as long as the project is for real.

Yeah following rules is a must especially in airdrops as it will give us the chance to be legible for payment after the project will distribute it's tokens but it is not guaranteed worthy of our efforts some ends up like another shitcoins on our portfolios and some are paying good. Lucky for those people who made good amount of money with airdrops because to be honest I earned nothing but just  disappointment from it.

I think one would learn or gain some little or more knowledge and information while participating in airdrops. Some times, most of the airdrop task definitely in one way or the other reveals some vital information on Crypto space which you might not have been privy of but your participation just made you fit a glimpse of that information.  Some times the thread or post you are asked to retweet or like might just be some little information you have been looking for or something you have no knowledge of but for the fact that you have performed the airdrop task, you got wind of the information there, you just buy the knowledge about the whole stuff.

The goal is always clear embarking upon a project as a participant. However the major drive force for partaking in the airdrop should be defined which gives a major focus as to why the participants found themselves doing such airdrop. However, there are those who makes it a priority to learn something irrespective of the fact that the end of the airdrop is greeted with rewards which could be exchanged for money and lots more but it still makes available the room for more information and knowledge to be gained through the airdrop participation. No knowledge or information gained is a waste irrespective of how it is gotten. Every iota of knowledge is so much important and the way it was acquired does not matter but what matters is that knowledge was gained in the process.

As of now, I don't see airdrop paying, they only end up selecting at random, those that token will be distributed to. I only see that they use this medium to create awareness on telegram and other social medias and at the end, nothing comes out for the airdroppers. As of this year 2024, airdrop is not paying. Out of 100% that I've joined, only 3% can be found legit, when it comes to distribution. But another question is; Can they succeed listing their token on Centralized Exchanges? because that's the only way profit can be made.

Layerzero indeed mandatorily required recipients to donate to claim their airdrop, I mean it was still profit for $ZRO recipients since the donation was little compared to the airdrop received.

It was not a need per se for Layerzero foundation to do something like this, but It's hard to filter out sybils, so it was one of their ways to make something out of their airdrop (donations went to ethereum protocol guild and donations were matches by upto 10M by Layerzero foundation themselves).

Well, some people do make some money from airdrops but most people make nothing from those airdrops. Actually airdropping is the best market strategy from a coin's owner but legit developers often give something to the ones who participate in airdrops.

Notcoin is one successful project coming out of airdrops where many participants made good profit, there are a lot of tapping mining now the airdrops are ongoing but have not yet see the full potential because they are just starting their distribution but we'll see later orthe end of this year if tapping mining that was started by Notcoin became profitable trending

The truth is some airdrops are either useless, scammy or legit. The ones you expect to me legit would just go on and do you dirty, then the one you don't expect much from, would send some cash down your way. I guess that is the way of the world now
