I don't think any survey is necessary to know the answer. Human beings, by nature, tend to fear everything they do not know, that is why it does not surprise me that when people hear about "cryptocurrencies" they do not trust, since it is something that works through the internet. Only with a good education in blockchain can people understand what cryptocurrencies are and how they work.

I totally agree with year, but after people fear about something, they will try to discover it after that, then some of them will start believing this new thing.
